We teach Chinese martial arts and practical self defence along with Chinese Dragon and Lion Dance to kids aged 8 yo and above and also adults. We held s squatting contest yesterday as part of our warmup and it took up much more of the lesson than planned!
Squat and hold until you drop! Everyone did well with the eventual winner Xander Sullivan claiming the prize of a lion dance beanie!

Our brave kids girls team competed last weekend in Market City as well. A traditional bench routine in the U18s open division. And the ages of our girls? 9 yo and 5 yo! And they never looked nervous once! The beautiful lion is named Blue Rose.
We teach kung fu for self defence and lion and dragon dance to gain confidence in public situations. Plus as these girls will tell you...it's a lot of fun!

Audiences just see a 8 minute traditional bench routine by a kids lion but behind the scenes it took weeks of extra training and commitment by instructors, parents and a whole team of students to make this happen. Congratulations to our kids boys team in their first kids lion dance competition at Market City in Sydney last Saturday! They competed using Pink Sky in the open U18s traditional routines despite being 8 yo and 11 yo!
