Canberra Dance Theatre - CDT

A HEADS UP FOR AN EXCITING EVENT!

As soon as we are back in the studio Zsuzsi Soboslay will be undertaking her delayed Artistic Residency with us.

Zsuzsi has worked with the CDT community as a teacher of CDTeens; with GOLDS to create the award-winning Moon Stories https://bodyecology.com.au/moon-stories-2019/; as a theatre performer and consultant, and independent Dance Ecology and movement educator. Her process offers a dynamic, interactive, and co-creative space where our bodies, our creativity, and our lived experiences become part of a welcoming, re-making space.

The residency will be structured in a combination of focused rehearsals and drop ins. Come as you are, who you are, and how you can participate, contribute and receive. Whether GOLDs [over 55], other CDT, or in the wider community come and join the party, contribute to, and help sustain creative vibrancy in Canberra!

Liz Lea, former artistic director of CDT and co-founder of GOLD, is bringing her work Diamond to The Q in early August. Blending contemporary dance, song, cabaret, and a touch of burlesque, this one-woman show invites audiences into a world of humour, glamour, and heartfelt transformation. With moments of raw honesty and riotous play, Diamond celebrates the brilliance that emerges through time – the courage, fragility, and power that define us as we evolve.
