Current photos of the gym.
We're taking some photos of the gym to capture the memories of the past 25 years, where we've supported our community. The space is almost empty, except for some climbing shoes and holds.
Feels empty too

Dear friends, local communities and climbing members,
As many of you already known through the Canberra Indoor Rock Climbing website and the community board, we have been collecting funds to help cover costs. We are nearing the end of our fundraising campaign.
We would greatly appreciate any contribution, even if it's a small amount. Your support means a lot to us.
Although the climbing gym will no longer be a part of the community, we will always cherish the memories of this place and the role it played in supporting the community.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely
Canberra Indoor Rock Climbing

Dear Climb members and the local communities,
I am the owner of Canberra Indoor Rock Climbing Centre, which I established in October 2000, Mitchell in Canberra. Over the years, with the support of many dedicated individuals, we worked tirelessly to grow and complete the gym. We were looking forward to celebrating 25 years this year, but unfortunately, we have had to close the facility.
We recently held a farewell event with many of our long time members, staff, and their families. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and to the climbing community for the individual support over the years.
It's deeply saddening for me, and for many climbers and families, to leave behind the memories created here. The Canberra Indoor Rock Climbing Centre holds a special place in the hearts of all those who were a part of it, and it's difficult to say Goodbye.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to each of every one of you. I hope that, in the future, there may be an opportunity for a new roped climbing gym to emerge in Canberra, serving young people, climbers, local communities, and enthusiasts.
Wishing all the best to everyone.
Warm regards,
Gordon Kelly and staff
