Outstanding year for our own Rajapaksha Family in Canberra. Big Daddy cleaned up the Eastlake CC awards cabinet (2023/24 Most Valuable Player, Eastlake CC - Club Champion award for 23/24 season, Eastlake CC Most wickets for 23/24, Fourth grade best bowler) and he was again awarded the ACT Cricket fourth grade best bowler award as well as the fourth grade MVP award for season 2023/24.

Meanwhile the two talented daughters won the team awards for Eastlake CC - Womens One day Champions medallions. - රාජපක්ෂලා තමයි හොදටම කරේ 2023/24.

We are so happy for Hiruni and Swairee, the talented daughters of Irantha Rajapaksha, who have been chosen to play for the Eastlake Cricket Club Women's team in the Grand Final tomorrow at Phillip Oval (12 Spoering St, Phillip), The game starts at 1:00 pm.

Massive Congratulations to one of the Singha veterans Irantha Rajapaksha for scoring his 4000th run for Eastlake! Just the ninth player to reach the milestone since 1989 for Eastlake Cricket Club. Irantha now sits 8th overall for runs score for Eastlake CC; this is doubly an achievement as he's also currently sitting 7th for most wickets taken for Eastlake in that period. Amazing job young man. Singha family is extremely proud of your achievements. 🥂Here is for many more runs and wickets.

Last week we have witnessed an outstanding team work from “Rock”shan, Chathuranga and Irantha, chasing 300 for a victory against Norths, on a gloomy, and overcast conditions were not easy. Brilliant 78 from Ruki, wildfire 58 from Ira and a superb 70 (maiden fifty) from Chathuranga took us over the line. Let’s start the one day and T20’s with the same passion boys.

Brilliant Century by Janaka in the mammoth run chase and draw the game for Eastlake CC 4th Grade against QBN CC. He steadied the ship with some good partnerships with lower order batsmen. Great support by Hewa Junior.
