Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Reminder 🔵

A reminder to all Nordek members aged 16 years and over who volunteer as a coach, referee, manager, pool controller, or in any other volunteer role that you are required to hold a current ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.

If your WWVP has expired, or you don’t yet have one, please apply or renew as soon as possible. Applications and renewals are completed through Access Canberra and are completely free.

As part of our obligations under the ACT WWVP Scheme, Nordek is required to maintain an up-to-date volunteer register. Once you have your WWVP, please email a copy of your card to [email protected]

Nordek at the World Cup Finals! 💙 🇦🇺

It was fantastic to see so many Nordek members make the trip to Sydney for the 2026 World Aquatics Water Polo World Cup Finals - the biggest international water polo event held in Australia since the Sydney 2000 Olympics! 👏

From athletes, coaches, parents, officials, and volunteers, it was great to see our club represented both in the stands and behind the scenes throughout an incredible week of world-class water polo. Here are just a few snaps from an unforgettable tournament! 📸

A huge congratulations to the Water Polo Australia Aussie Stingers and Aussie Sharks on outstanding campaigns against the world’s best 🤽🏼‍♂️🤽🏼‍♀️

🥉 Aussie Stingers
The Stingers bounced back from a heartbreaking semi-final loss to defeat Russia 12–9 and claim the Bronze Medal after a fantastic tournament.

4️⃣ Aussie Sharks
The Sharks produced one of the highlights of the tournament with their thrilling quarter-final win over Spain before narrowly missing out on a medal, finishing fourth after another impressive campaign.

A fantastic week for Australian water polo, and an incredible opportunity for so many of our Nordek members to experience the sport at the highest level. We can’t wait for the next one! 💚💛

📣 Nordek Training is Back Tonight! 🤽🏼‍♂️🤽🏼‍♀️💙

We’re back in the pool tonight, with our U12s and U16 Girls kicking off the week before our senior squads hit the water later in the evening.

Training continues tomorrow with our swim set, followed by U12s and U14s training, before another swim set on Thursday and sessions for our U16 Boys and Youth League teams.

🚨 A reminder that due to ongoing renovations and repairs at CISAC, the grandstand will not be available for use. We appreciate everyone’s patience while the works continue.

With the final round of the WPACT Junior Winter Competition now less than a month away on 22–23 August, it’s the perfect time for all of our junior athletes to get back into training and finish the winter season strong! We can’t wait to see everyone back on pool deck! 💙
