A big first day at the KAP7 Australia and New Zealand Senior Canberra Cup, with all four Nordek teams putting themselves in the mix heading into tomorrow! 💙

1 draw + 2 wins ✅
One more round game tomorrow — a win guarantees their spot in the Grand Final!

2 wins + 1 draw + 1 loss
They’ll face our other Nordek Women’s team tomorrow morning to decide the final standings.

2026 CANBERRA CUP 🏆
Nordek Men’s Teams 🤽🏼‍♂️

It’s set to be a big weekend for Nordek, with two Men’s teams competing in this year’s KAP7 Australia and New Zealand Senior Canberra Cup!

Our Div. 1 Men will be looking to defend their title after taking out the trophy last year, while also chasing a record seventh Canberra Cup title for Nordek 🏆

The Div. 1 team will play three round games on Saturday, followed by their final round game on Sunday morning. The 1st and 2nd placed teams will then face off in the Grand Final on Sunday afternoon, with all Div. 1 games played at the AIS Aquatic Centre.

Our Div. 2 Men will play three round games on Saturday at Stromlo Leisure Centre before moving across to the AIS on Sunday. Sunday morning will see the teams compete in crossover playoffs, with the Div. 2 finals taking place Sunday afternoon.

Nordek at the Asia Pacific Tournament 🏆

A big shoutout to our Nordek members who have just wrapped up their stint up in Queensland competing at the Asia Pacific Tournament! 💙

🏆 Barbarians Men - Gold
Byron MacDonald and Lachlan Newman were part of the Barbarians team that took down tournament favourites Cronulla 13–12 in a nail-biter to claim gold! 🥇 As the Barbarians’ goalie, Byron also picked up Most Blocks and Steals for the tournament 👏🏼

🥉 Aus Countries Women - Bronze
Eilis Rogis and Caitlin Leather helped Aus Countries secure bronze, beating the Barbarians 15–2 in the playoff. Eilis had a perfect first half in goals, finishing with a 100% save percentage and a clean sheet, while Caitlin found the back of the net four times 👏🏼

We also had Don Cameron and Josh O’Keeffe representing Nordek on the referee team, including Josh being selected to referee the Bronze Medal Women’s match.

And there’s no rest for these guys! 😂 All six are heading straight back to Canberra and will be back at the pool this weekend for the KAP7 Australia and New Zealand Senior Canberra Cup! 🤽🏼‍♂️🤽🏼‍♀️

Nordek Women’s teams 🤽🏼‍♀️

After taking out the 2025 Div. 2 title, Nordek will be back at this year’s KAP7 Australia and New Zealand Senior Canberra Cup with two Women’s teams looking to bring home the trophy again! Our Div. 1 Women currently hold the record with six Canberra Cup titles, and this year they’ll be looking to add a seventh to the trophy cabinet 🏆

There is one Women’s division this year, with both Nordek teams playing four round games on Saturday, before facing each other in their final round game on Sunday morning.

After the round games, the 1st and 2nd placed teams will playoff for the Div. 1 trophy on Sunday afternoon 🏆

After taking out both the 2025 Boys and Girls Waterpolooza titles, our Junior Nordek teams will be back this weekend looking to defend their trophies and have plenty of fun along the way! 🏆

The 2026 KAP7 Australia and New Zealand Waterpolooza, hosted by Canberra Water Polo Academy gets underway this Saturday, with both teams playing three games on Saturday before heading into playoffs and finals on Sunday afternoon.
