It was great to visit ACT Waterski this week.

They received $190,000 through the 2025 Sport and Recreation Investment Scheme to upgrade amenities at their clubhouse, which look fantastic!

Thank you for having me and I look forward to working with you on your ambitions for the club.

Another slightly delayed post, but earlier this month Oscar competed at his first Junior World Waterski Championships 🇦🇺🌏

Finishing 13th in the world for Trick and just missing the finals by one place is an incredible achievement on the world stage. While it may not have been the result he was hoping for on the day, this experience is something truly special.

We couldn’t be prouder of Oscar’s effort, dedication and the way he represented himself, the ACT and Australia.👏✨

We couldn’t be prouder to celebrate our longest serving member, Leigh Southwell 🙌

Leigh has been part of our club since 1971 — over five decades of volunteering, coaching, officiating, driving, mentoring and leading. Generations of skiers have benefited from his time, knowledge and dedication.

To see him recognised as a Life Member at the Waterski and Wakeboard Australia awards night at Crown Palladium is incredibly special.

Aussie Kiwi Success 🇦🇺🇳🇿 | 5th–9th February 2026

Ellie Thrower represented Australia at the Aussie Kiwi, held at Lake Hood, New Zealand 🇳🇿 from 5th to 8th February 2026 and what a performance!

An outstanding result on the international stage and a true reflection of the hard work she’s been putting in this season.

To top it off, the Australian Team secured the overall GOLD medal 🇦🇺🥇

We’re incredibly proud of Ellie and her efforts representing both our club and Australia.

🔙 November Throwback – Jimmy Siemers Week 🙌

Back in November we were lucky enough to have Jimmy Siemers at the club for a full week of coaching with our juniors, and what a week it was!

The kids absolutely loved it. Not just the skiing, but the energy, the encouragement, and the way Jimmy made every single set fun, even the tough ones. A few of the juniors said that even when they weren’t having their best ski, Jimmy still made it one of the best sets they’d had. And that’s what it’s all about 💙

Huge thanks to Jimmy for sharing his time, knowledge and stoke with our crew. The improvement, confidence and smiles said it all.
