We have one more week, my friends and we're at about 30 bags from the jazzercise community. Incredible! What can we do in the next week? If you're thinking about donating a bag, please do. Charities across Australia have asked for a massive 150,000 bags in total. That's a lot of women and teenage girls facing hardship - circumstances so difficult that they don't even have anything to wash with. No basic dignity. As a community, we're changing that one bag at a time.
A big shout out to our multiple donors. Yes, we have members who have donated 2, 3, even 8 bags! One bag shared with a friend is just as fantastic.

💝Twelve days of It’s in the Bag💝

On the TENTH day of , you could add to your bag: something to keep clean on-the-go 🧼

Women who are experiencing homelessness or fleeing domestic violence don’t always have access to showers and often must seek shelter in unsanitary environments. Provide an option for better hygiene on-the-go and add some hand sanitiser, body wipes or wet wipes to your bag and help to return some dignity to these women.

PSA 📢 Collection points at your local Bunnings Warehouse will open in THREE days to accept your generous donations.

Hands up if you haven't heard of Share the Dignity before! Maybe you have, but haven't taken part in their annual charity drive. This is absolutely my favourite time of year and my favourite charity to support and, with the help of my fellow instructors, I do my best to rally my friends far and wide to fill as many bags as possible to donate to women and girls in need. Will you join us this year? We have until the end of November to donate.

You Guys!!!! Our hearts are full to the brim after what was truly an amazing team effort. Congratulations on our 2023 haul of 52 bags! That's 52 lives we are positively affecting of people who've likely seen darker times than most of us could ever imagine. Thank you one and all for your generous spirits and kindest of kind hearts. Yep, I'm feeling a bit mushy. 💞💖😘

Today is the day!

Wow! It’s the final week of 2023 and the bags are pouring in from our jazzercise community. You guys are amazing. We are up to 31 bags and counting! That includes bags from across all of our southside classes as well as our fellow jazzers at the Canberra Seniors Centre, who have really rallied this year, and friends whom we’ve all managed to share the passion and drive with. Well done everyone!

But wait, there’s still more time! I just picked up three more gorgeous bags to fill from St Vinnies – double the benefit…I LOVE that! If you can, donate right up until this Friday's 11.30am class, after which we will be delivering all of your beautiful bags to Bunnings, Tuggeranong on Saturday morning.
