CHALLENGERS 2 IS IN THE BOOKS✅

140 competitors from 20 different gyms across Canberra and beyond came together yesterday for an incredible day of competition. 🥇 🥈 🥉

The goal of these events is to raise the level of both current and future BJJ athletes in Canberra, and we’ve already seen that growth since Challengers 1.

From kids to adults, gi and no gi, the mats were full of entertaining matches and great energy all day. This was a real showcase of the best of what Canberra grappling has to offer.

A big thank you to everyone who came to compete, coached and especially to those who gave up their time to help set up, pack up, referee, work the tables and support the event.

We can’t wait to grow Challengers even bigger and already look forward to our next event!

Challengers Grappling Series is a local gi and no gi competition for kids and adults, created by Canberran grapplers to build competition experience and grow Canberra’s grappling community.

The event will also feature SuperFights throughout the day, showcasing some of Canberra’s premier grapplers.

From setup to scorekeeping, reffing, coaching, and cheering this event couldn’t have happened without the incredible support of everyone in our local Canberra grappling community.

What an amazing day for Canberra’s grapplers, the first-ever Pit Grappling Event in the capital is officially in the books! 🤼🔥

And the good news is we both of us had so much fun running this event, so we will definitely be doing it again in the future!
