Last night, our Magpies family had the privilege of welcoming I Got You to The Nest.
We heard firsthand about the power of checking in on your mates, asking the hard questions and creating space for conversations that can genuinely change and, even possibly save lives.
A huge thank you to Lisa, Taylor, Mackenzie and Dave for your courage, vulnerability and willingness to share your stories with our community. Your words were powerful, your message was unforgettable and we’re incredibly grateful you spent the evening with us.
At Belconnen, we often say we’re about Good Footy, Better People. Nights like this remind us what that really means. Looking after each other doesn’t stop when the final siren sounds.
Check in. Listen. Be present. You never know the difference a conversation can make. 🖤🤍🩵

This weekend, Blake “Chapo” Chapman becomes just the 49th player in the proud history of the Belconnen Magpies Football Club to reach 100 Men’s First Grade games.
Joining the Magpies in 2016 from a rugby background, Blake broke into the Men’s First Grade side in 2017 and hasn’t looked back. After beginning his career at full back, he found his home in the forward line, developing into one of the club’s most reliable goal kickers. Heading into his milestone game, Blake sits on 99 First Grade goals.
A member of the club’s 2023 Premiership team, Blake is admired for his toughness, selflessness and willingness to put his body on the line every week. His commitment to the team is matched only by the respect he has earned from teammates, opponents and supporters alike.
One of the most genuine and well-liked people around the club, Blake is a true Magpie both on and off the field.
Congratulations on reaching 100 Men’s First Grade games, Chapo. A milestone the entire Magpie family is incredibly proud to celebrate.

This weekend, Jacob Taylor becomes just the 48th player in the proud history of the Belconnen Magpies Football Club to play 100 Men’s First Grade games.
Jacob made his senior club debut in 2009 before breaking into the Men’s First Grade side in 2013 during the club’s strong NEAFL era. Thirteen years later, he reaches the 100-game milestone after a journey defined by resilience, commitment and determination.
A member of the Magpies’ 2023 Premiership-winning side, Jacob has also overcome both an ACL and Achilles injury during his career. Many would have walked away from the game, but Jacob fought his way back to earn his place once again in the senior side.
This weekend also marks Jacob’s 222nd club game (100 Men’s First Grade, 94 Reserve Grade, 22 Under 18s and 6 Third Grade) – a testament to the loyalty, dedication and selflessness he has shown to the Magpies across 17 seasons. A true clubman and one of the most respected and well-liked people around the club, his impact extends far beyond what happens on the field.
To make the occasion even more special, Jacob now joins his father, Peter Taylor, as a member of the Belconnen Magpies 100 Men’s First Grade Club.
Congratulations, Jacob. The entire Belconnen Magpies community is incredibly proud of your achievement and grateful for everything you have given to our football club.
