CVD GOLF CLUB

Our latest game was held at Dunheved golf course. The sun was shining and the course was in great condition considering all the rain we've had. It was a good turn out considering it was on mothers day. The honours went to Darren with a close second to Wayne.

Today CVD Golf Club had a very special event dear to us all. The John Dillon memorial trophy. We played a 2 ball Ambrose event at Cabramatta golf course with family members of the Dillon family in attendance. A truly great day to remember our former President of the golf club and Director of CVD. Many thanks to Denise Dillon and family for attending the luncheon and presentation held back at the club. Winners of the event were the unstoppable Jeff Quintrell and Brian Farrugia. Runners up Satish and Mustafa.

Dunheved Golf Course was in great condition for the 4th round of the single championships. The days winner and runner up Morro and Michael "Hollywood" were in fine form. Congrats to the winners of A, B, and C Grades - Chris Collins, Nick, and Satish. Runners up - Brian Farrugia, Dave Hitchen, and Jimmy Fitz.

CVD golf club had the pleasure of playing a round of Stableford at Stonecutters Ridge last Sunday. It was a great turn out and Dave Hitchen got rid of the ring rust to take out the day on a count back from Jeff Quintrell both finishing with 42 points. Solid turn out from members and had the privilege of 3 members from Burwood RSL joining us. All members of CVD are welcome to join us. Congratulations to Cabra Vale Diggers on winning the Taylor-Green shield last Sunday. It was a nice hot day and Woodville Golf Course was in good condition. Thanks to the opposition from Burwood RSL for the competition and for the comradery after the event. The presentation was held at CVD and we have it a nudge lol

Rosnay didn't disappoint. We managed to miss the rain. Good turn out and BBQ afterwards for the annual President vs Captain teams match.

New Brighton Lakes was the scene for last Sunday's event. Good turnout and the course was in great condition considering it was under water only 3 weeks ago. It was a single Stableford event and Nick came through with the goods taking the day out. Close runner up Darren "John Daly" Farrugia.

Len Whitehead Davies day at Rosnay Golf Course Auburn was a great turnout. Burwood RSL vs Cabra Vale Diggers saw a close match with Burwood just grabbing victory by only a few Stableford points. Great bunch of blokes and see below pics of the winners and nearest pins winners.
