The seahorses were hiding… until the sun went down! 🌙🤿

A northerly wind stirred up Woodman Point before Wednesday’s Manta Club night dive, reducing visibility and sending the seahorses ducking for cover.

But after dark, the marine life came out to play! Seahorses, scorpionfish and lionfish gave our divers plenty to discover—and plenty of stories to swap over a hot coffee afterwards. ☕💙

Thanks to everyone who joined PADI Divemaster Al Day for another underwater adventure!

Wrecks, river critters and new dive buddies! 🤿💙

With the ocean forecast looking unfavourable, 16 Manta Club divers headed to Blackwall Reach—and their navigation skills delivered! Everyone found the barge beneath buoy 716. 🙌

Tube anemones, starfish, seahorses, gobbleguts and formidable-looking estuary cobbler gave us plenty to admire along the way.

A warm welcome to our new Manta Club members, and thank you to everyone who joined DM Barb for a fantastic dive. It’s always lovely to see new friendships forming underwater and on shore!

And so it begins! 🤿🎉

This week, our Divemasters took the next big step towards becoming PADI Instructors by starting their Instructor Development Course at Perth Scuba! 👏

This time, we’re mixing things up with both part-time and full-time courses. Our part-time crew is already underway, and so far, so good! 💪

Please join us in wishing them all the best as they tackle their training and prepare for their Instructor Examinations. We can’t wait to watch them grow into our next dive professionals! 💙

🌙 Palm Beach Jetty came alive after dark! 🤿

Ten Manta Club divers braved the wind and rain for Wednesday night’s dive—and the conditions above the water were quickly forgotten once the underwater show began.

The evening’s sightings included a blue-ringed octopus, scorpionfish, side-gill slugs, nudibranchs, seahorses and squid. The crew even recovered a diver’s lost mask from the shallows!

Afterwards, everyone warmed up with hot drinks, bikkies and the usual collection of dive stories.

A special welcome to the FOUR divers who joined us for their first adventure with the Manta Club. We hope it’s the first of many!
