🗳️ This Time Next Week: Carine JFC AGM!

In just one week, we’ll be coming together for our 2026 Annual General Meeting, and we’d love to see our club community represented!

As we prepare for 2027, we’re looking for parents and members who would like to lend their skills, experience and ideas to help shape the year ahead.

All committee positions are declared vacant at the AGM each year, providing an opportunity for existing members to continue and new volunteers to get involved. We’re particularly seeking people interested in the roles of Vice President, Auskick Coordinator, Sponsorship Coordinator and Merchandise Coordinator.

You don’t need to make an indefinite commitment to make a lasting difference. Whether you contribute for a season or several years while your family is part of Carine, every volunteer plays an important role in delivering the programs, events and experiences our players and families enjoy.

We ask that each team has at least three representatives attend, helping ensure all areas of our club community have a voice in shaping its future.

Whether you’re considering joining the committee or simply want to stay involved in the direction of our club, we’d love to see you there.

Congratulations to our Carine boys who have been selected for their respective football development squads!

We received a few photos from the recent squad gathering, featuring some familiar faces from our 14s and 15s groups.

14s: Charlie, Sonny, Jake, Gabe, Liam and Ted (with Liam and Ted missing from the photo).

15s: Nick, Toby, Tom, Riley, Braxton, Jimmy, Ashton, Chase and Naish.

Our 13s were also represented, although the boys had already left before we could capture a photo!

It was also fantastic to see former Carine junior Jack Mayo involved as a guest speaker, sharing his experience with the next generation of young footballers.

Congratulations to all the boys on their selection. It’s wonderful to see so many of our Cats continuing to develop their football and embrace opportunities beyond their club commitments.

Our Year 9 Boys have kicked off their 10-week off-season development program with JEA Performance, having been selected to trial the program ahead of the 2027 season.

The first session was all about establishing a starting point, with the boys put through a series of assessments to measure and record where they’re currently at as individuals. These results will provide a useful benchmark as they work through the weeks ahead.

And with plenty of heat and seemingly every fly in Perth turning up to watch, the conditions certainly added an extra challenge!

A big thank you to Julian and the JEA Performance Coaching team for providing this opportunity and investing their time in the boys’ development. We’re looking forward to documenting their progress and seeing how far they can come over the next ten weeks.

Week one done and dusted, onto week two! 💪

Another proud evening for Carine JFC at the WA Community Football Awards, with our club named 2026 Youth Club of the Year for the Subiaco District!

We were also incredibly proud to see Misty McLaren named our Club Person of the Year, recognising the enormous contribution she has made as Sponsorship Coordinator over the past two seasons. Misty’s time and energy have played an important role in strengthening the relationships between our club and the businesses that support our community.

Carine was also recognised as a finalist for Mods (Junior) Club of the Year, while outgoing Auskick Coordinator Tamara Maddock was a finalist for NAB AFL Auskick Coordinator of the Year. Congratulations to Tamara on a fantastic acknowledgement of everything she has contributed to our youngest Cats this season.

This year’s recognition continues an incredible four consecutive years of Carine bringing home an award, including Junior Club of the Year in 2023 and 2025, Youth Club of the Year in 2024 and 2026, Auskick Coordinator of the Year in 2023, and Administrator of the Year in 2025, alongside individual recognition for some of the remarkable people behind our club.

While we’re incredibly proud of every award, the consistency and breadth of that recognition speaks most strongly to our volunteers. Across Auskick, Juniors and Youth, year after year, people continue to generously give their time, skills and energy to create the best possible experience for our players and families.

Congratulations to Misty, Tamara and everyone who contributed to another fantastic year for Carine JFC. This recognition belongs to the whole community of people who make our club what it is.

Although the 2026 community season has finished up, things are still happening for some of our female players.

Yesterday, we checked in with the Subiaco Girls Development Squad, featuring eleven of our Carine girls.

We’re really pleased to have the largest representation of any club in the squad and to see our girls’ commitment and enthusiasm rewarded.

Thanks to Subiaco Football Club for the opportunity, and we look forward to some exciting games next week!
