Swimmerz Academy

Learning water safety skills looks different on every child.

Some are bursting at the seams to jump in and some need a softer approach. This doesn't mean that we don't get them to slowly build and extend on their skills.

You can see that our swim teacher Emma lets go of her student once she's in the water which gives the student the opportunity to kick and reach for the wall on her own. She did this beautifully, and then manages to pull herself up with a safe exit to wait for her next

A Caringbah swim school has taken home two national awards after being recognised at the 2026 SWIM Australia Awards in Queensland.

Swimmerz Academy, based in Caringbah, received the Outstanding Customer Service & Brand Impact Award and the SWIMSAFER Commitment Award at the national awards ceremony, held as part of SwimCon in Caloundra.

The local swim school was also named a finalist in three other categories, including Swim School of the Year (Metro), the Innovation Award and the Outstanding Community Service Award.

The awards are run by SWIM Coaches & Teachers Australia and recognise swim schools and aquatic professionals from across the country.

Swimmerz Academy competed in the medium swim school category, covering schools delivering between 501 and 1,500 lessons each week.

The Caringbah business offers learn-to-swim and squad programs, with its SWIMSAFER award recognising its work promoting water safety education.

Swimmerz Academy said the awards belonged to its wider community, thanking its staff and families for their support.

“These awards belong to our whole Swimmerz community,” the academy said.
The academy described the weekend as a major achievement for the local team, having converted two of its five finalist nominations into national awards.
