Falcons cricket returned with a bang over the weekend and we've got the full weekend wrap brought to you by Schnitz - Caroline Springs! 🌯

Tavish Premadasa kicked off his summer in style with a huge weekend, scoring 33 runs and taking 5 wickets across two games to help both Under 11 sides to first up wins while A***n Malhotra (27 & 3/2) and Ulay Fernando (29*) were also impressive against Darley! 🔥

Aveer Dang had a sensational Falcons debut with 4/6 & 11* as Vihaan Edwin recorded a career high 43 and Virinchi Narva claimed a career best 3/7 to power their sides to a W! 👏🏼

Sensational partnerships with the bat - Zavier Karunatileke (27), Mesam Meer (52) & Bashayer Tabish (22*) - helped our U15s to a competitive score before Seb Lambous claimed maiden 5-wicket haul (5/13) to bring home the victory for our U15s! 🙏🏼

In the Seniors, a mixed day on Saturday saw our 4ths claim a strong win at home with Deane Gray leading the way (60 & 3/10) while the 3rds will look to bounce back next week while on Sunday, our 1sts put in a solid first up effort in a new division to bring home the points, Ishan Peiris (67) & Salman Afridi (65) the standouts in a well rounded team performance 💪🏼

🏏 WHAT A NIGHT TO KICK OFF OUR JUNIOR SEASON! 🔵⚪🟢

A few pizzas, a few drinks, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, a clubhouse full of players, parents, coaches and families coming together.

It was fantastic to welcome so many new faces to Caroline Springs Cricket Club across all our junior age groups, alongside families who have been part of the Falcons for many years.

There was also a pretty special piece of club history made last night.

Aubrey Beale, cap #146, had the honour of presenting young Amaya with cap #1146. 🧢🏏

1,000 players in our history separate those two cap numbers.

It’s amazing to think about the 1,000 young men and women who have represented our club in the years between Aubrey receiving his cap and Amaya receiving hers. Different teams, different generations, but all part of the same Falcons story.

Nights like these give us a reason to open up the clubrooms, bring everyone together, meet families from different age groups, connect our juniors with our senior players and simply enjoy being part of the club.

A massive thank you to Deano and the wider team, our senior players who came down, executive members, coaches, volunteers and everyone who helped make the night happen.

Now we want to build on it.

A huge thank you to our sponsors Schnitz Caroline Springs & Pizza Hut Caroline Springs for catering the opening two nights of our season with all teams now ready to hit the park running next week!

🦅 Let’s go Falcons! 🔵⚪🟢
