A Special GC Knights mention to our very own Ari 🔴⚪🔵

Ari plays in our U10 Pre-Academy boys team and has been a Knights player for some time now.

The reason Ari is such a legend is that he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and has paralysis down his whole right side. At 1yrs old his parents were told that he would never play any ball sports, never ride a bike or do what most young children take for granted. Of course, he is pretty hard on himself and does get down about his limitations however he is determined and driven to be up there with his peers. This Legend loves to prove himself to everyone and years after the diagnosis Ari is doing what Ari does and yes, he rides a bike and plays football like every other 10 year old boy!

Steve Coates said "I have personally known Ari/his family for a number of years. We as a club felt it was deserved to give Ari this special mention as he is such a determined young lad and he is so driven - which is why we all love him! We are all so proud. He is an inspiration!

I also feel it would be fitting for our community to show our affection for Ari by voting for him in the 2026 FQ Tom Dickson Athlete with a Disability award."
