That's a wrap for the Mordi winter series for 2026.

Today was super windy, with gusts over 25+ knots. But the water was flat and the sailors keen, so we got out there for the last two races.

Today's Carrum sailors were Simon on the windsurfer, with Brendan and Laing on the pacer.

Thanks to Mordialloc Sailing Club for a great series and for letting us charter your club pacer! We'll be back next winter with a strategy to win one of those glasses!

Bit of a late post, but last weekend was Sail Mordi! Always fun and possibly the friendliest regatta on the bay? (If there's a friendlier one, let us know!)

Both days were light wind which died throughout. Day one, the windsurfers got in three races (the third shortened) before the wind dropped too much. Day two was two races (the second shortened) before the day was called off.

Despite the lack of wind it was a great weekend on the water. We definitely have it on our calendars for next year!

Blue skies, sunshine and another week of light winds ☀️⛵️

Mordi Winter Series, races 5, 6 and 7 were full of learning experiences for our beginner sailors Brendan, Tess and Annabel, while Simon was out on the LT-Windsurfer refining his technique.

Sunshine and light winds today for races 3 and 4 of the Mordi Winter Series

Representing Carrum Sailing and Motor Boat Club we had,

Simon on the LT Windsurfer, with two 6th place finishes, putting him 3rd overall in the series so far for the Windsurfer class! 👏🏻

Brendan and Tess in Pacer 3140 — new to the world of sailing racing! They finished with a DNF in Race 1, but managed to regroup and complete race 2. Small wins! 💪🏽

Thank you Mordialloc Sailing Club for running this event!
