Castle Hill Remote Control On Road is a not for profit club racing 1/10th scale electric remote control cars. Primary track venue is the Undercover Ring at Castle Hill Showground in a suburb of Sydney, Australia with racing on Friday nights. Originally operating as Castle Hill Raceway, the club name was changed to Castle Hill RC On Road in 2017. Track is 700sqm plus extra space for pit areas and canteen facilities. Surface is concrete painted with Boral Coat for added traction and is undercover with lighting. Castle Hill RC merged with Whalan Model Car Club in May 2020 and will be running electric club days and events at Whalan.

👏 Congratulations to Luke Swinkels who was the inaugural winner of the Graham Williams F1 Grand Prix trophy.

👏 The main event of the day was the 21.5 Worlds and the Rob Wright Touring Car Champion for 2026 is Michael Martinez. Award comes with bragging rights as World's Champion for the next 12 months

📣21.5 Worlds Event Schedule and Race Information

✅ Schedule

➡️ Track will be open for practice from the time it is set up until 8:40am. There will be a dedicated novice/junior class practice session from 8:30am to 8:40am. Novice/Junior are also welcome to practice prior to 8:30am . The aim is to have the track setup by 7:30am, but will be contingent on having plenty of club members available at the track to start the setup around 7am.
➡️ 21.5 Worlds Class drivers will need to have their race tyres marked prior to 8:45am with numbered tyre stickers. The marked tyres must be used for qualifying and finals.
➡️ Drivers briefing will be at 8:45am
➡️ Racing will commence around 9am.

✅ Payment
➡️ Most of the race entry payments for Castle Hill regulars have already been paid. Any outstanding race entry payments will need to be made between 8:15am and 8:40am on Monday morning.

✅ Scruitineering
There will be scrutineering performed during the event. Scales and Multimeter will be available all day so you can check compliance.

➡️ Battery voltage maximum for all classes is 8.40 volts.
▪️If your battery voltage is at 8.41 or 8.42 you can run down the voltage and start the race when you hit 8.40.
▪️If your battery voltage is 8.43 or higher you do not run the race
➡️ Minimum Weights for each class
▪️ 1320 grams for 21.5 and Novice/Junior
▪️ 1000 grams for F1
▪️ 1250 grams for FWD
➡️ All ESCs must be in blinky mode. If you are running a Hobbywing, R1 Wurks or Trinity ESC, there should be multiple rapid blinks followed by a pause before the blinking sequence starts again.

📣 Big news for front wheel drive fans!

➡️ FWD has been officially added to the 21.5 Worlds Event as there is interest from a number of our club members to run the class! You can now select it directly on the entry form. We already have 3 drivers locked in, but we need at least 5 entries by Friday to run FWD as a standalone class.

The track was slick, the air was cool, the rain was falling and the crew was rugged up. Not even a steady drizzle could slow us down! 💦
