A very special moment for me today being promoted to 5th degree black belt after 31 years in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
So much love to all that have helped me along the way. Particularly Anthony Lange John Bernard Will Rigan Machado.
Also a massive congrats to Professor Kris Michael promoted to 3rd degree and Jake Farnsworth 1st degree.

09/07/2026

A massive congrats to Brian Brano Micatka earning his very well deserved BJJ Brown belt.
A big man with a heart of gold, Brian has dedicated himself to the study of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is very worthy of his new rank.

15/12/2025

A hugh congrats to newly promoted BJJ Brown belts Joshua Bakhos and Joel Smith.
Two of the finest humans I know, both absolute gentlemen with very unique striking and exceptional grappling ability.

09/12/2025

Some technical sparring with my young wonderful friend Tyler Evans. A great warm up before Grappling.

12/07/2025

A massive congratulations to long time students Luke Price and Paul Rodinski both demonstrating their own personal takedowns, positional controls, sweeps and submissions. On completion they were awarded their BJJ Black Belts.
Peter Gaul Kirk Sicard and Andre Powell treated us to some of their favourite techniques and all received Dan gradings. Very well deserved for so many years of service.
On a personal note it was fantastic to have many of my black belts on the mat sharing their extensive grappling knowledge, such a rich culture.

10/07/2025

Interactive BJJ Black Belt grading tomorrow night, all students welcome.

Lachie and Jake born into Martial Arts families already have a lifetime of training boxing, kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling etc. Both are great young men with a fantastic work ethic.

05/04/2025

There's always action on the mat.

Staying fit into my mid 50's, it's hard work, there's no substitute.
