Great opportunity for local Cyclists

📣Applications for the 2026 Jason Lowndes Scholarship are now open.

Every year the Goldfields Cycle Sports Club, in conjunction with the Lowndes family, honour Jason's legacy as a cyclist with outstanding potential and an amazing young man with a big heart by awarding a local female and male cyclist with a $5000 scholarship.

The Jason Lowndes Scholarship supports cyclists in Bendigo region and surrounds - from any cycling discipline - with the potential and desire to further their development internationally and gain race experience. There is also an award for 2nd and 3rd, as well as a Junior award for U17yrs.

Great support to all riders not just the elite

A day in the canola.
Another beautiful sunny day greeted 24 riders at Baringhup.
It was lovely to see the return of Terry O’Brien who kicked things off on limit with Ken Lacey.
Some early cracks saw the second limit much splinter, with some strong work being done by Josh Malone and Tari Baihaki.
A number of the rear bunches joined up to try and reel in the front markers.
Bailey Forbes headed into the last 500m stretch with a minute 2 bike length gap over the sprinting bunch.
Just managing to hold on for the win over a fast finishing Rob Griffiths in 2nd. Tony Coombes 3rd. Ian Stringer 4th. Levi Brain 5th and Mark Snell with fastest time.
