🏐❤️ 300 GAMES FOR SARAH! ❤️🏐
A few weeks ago, we celebrated an incredible milestone for Sarah Middleton, as she took to the court for her 300th netball game! 👏🏐
Sarah’s contribution to netball has extended well beyond simply taking the court. Over the years, she has played, coached and umpired, giving so much to the sport and to the clubs she has been part of.
Sarah has played and coached at Coleraine and Heywood, where she celebrated premiership success and was also a runner-up in a Best & Fairest. She was also heavily involved off the court as a Netball and Umpire Coordinator. Since joining Cavendish, Sarah has coached our U15 and C Grade teams, and is currently coaching our B Grade side, doing a wonderful job as they made their way into the finals.
Netball Director Kristy Astbury summed up Sarah’s contribution beautifully during a speech at her milestone match:
“She’s umpired for many years, she’s currently coaching our B Grade team and she’s doing a wonderful job because here we are in the finals. She has also coached the 15s team and the C Grade team.
Sarah has had many more than 300 games. She’s coached and played at Coleraine, and then coached and played at Heywood, winning premierships and a runner-up Best & Fairest, where she was also their netball and umpire coordinator.
Sarah is not only a great person to have at your club, but a great person to have as a friend. She’s not only our coach, she is our best friend and that’s what a team’s all about.
Well done Sarah on a fantastic 300 games.”
Sarah, your dedication, passion and willingness to give back to netball have made you such a valued part of our club. We are incredibly lucky to have you not only as a coach, player and mentor, but as a friend. ❤️
Congratulations on an outstanding 300 games, Sarah!🏐👏
What a milestone, and what a contribution to netball.
