A bit of real talk today…

Currently navigating the waves of doubt, perfectionism, and the excruciating (but necessary) fumbling of being a beginner. Sending love to anyone else riding those waves. We got this 🤍

A little peek at this cosy studio space .studio for our first Mindful Macramé workshop 🧶

Tea, bickies, and a much needed creative reset. See you soon! 🌿

I used to be my own biggest obstacle when it came to creativity. I let the fear of “being bad” keep me on the sidelines.

This workshop is my love letter and permission slip to anyone who feels like they aren’t “the creative type.”
You are welcome here.
Your shaky hands are welcome here. Your inner critic is welcome here, we’ll just give her a bickie and a cup of tea to keep her busy while we create. ☕️🧶

Join the workshop this Saturday April 11th 💫

Not going to lie - I recently realised that teaching macramé and doing macramé are two totally different ball games 🙃

Sharing this with our wonderful OT book/craft club was so much fun (it always is with this group, no matter what we do 💕)

I’ll admit, there were moments where I felt that familiar self-doubt creep in... but seeing everyone’s pieces come to life gave me the confidence to keep going.
It was a reminder that growth happens when we’re willing to be messy in the arena.

This was a lesson in ironing out the kinks and trusting the process.

Thank you all for being gentle with me as I navigate this new path. There is a first for everything, and I’m so glad this was mine. I appreciate you all so much 🙏(including the ones who couldn’t make it!)

Finding magic in the mundane 💫

I was almost about to start dreading the day before I stopped and asked myself:

“What would today look like if I had a different narrative? Even if it feels like a bit of a stretch, let’s just try and see what happens?”

We know we have a negative bias and the things we told ourselves in the past, created a subconscious that runs the old narrative on autopilot for us.

So what if I started telling myself things that could help me narrate a new story?

Like how blessed it feels to be able to have the freedom and choice in my job to be at home today and have a slow morning.

How blessed it is to even have a job.

To be able to drink this delicious coffee with coconut milk in this cute little mug.

How wonderful is it that I get to respond to these emails, where people trust ME to assess and support their children.

What a blessing it is that I get to learn about the intricacies and complexities of the mind of these young people that I support.

How humbling is it that I get to be learning and be able to listen to another human who may be having a tough time right now.

To not have to be the person who has all the answers but to be a human listening to another human in need and saying “I’ll support you through this in whatever capacity that I can”.

How grateful I am to be having this dance with what that even means, to establish my boundaries and meet my edges and to know when to hand the baton to someone else.

To know that actually not everything is my responsibility.

I am here to walk the horse to the water but I can’t force it to drink…..

I hope my rambling, unfiltered thoughts can offer you some grounding, softness & strength too 🤍

Soaking in natures flow 🍃

Nature doesn’t force or rush.
The trees don’t worry if their leaves will return after they fall.
The flowers don’t stress over when they’ll bloom.
Everything follows its own natural rhythm - steady & effortless.

Instead of trying to control every outcome or avoid discomfort, what if we leaned in?
What if we trusted that life is unfolding exactly as it should?

Fear often rises when we’re standing at the edge of something new….
A creative project, a dream, a new chapter.
What if fear wasn’t a stop sign but an invitation?
Asking us to lean in, get curious, to see what’s really beneath the surface.
By leaning in & getting to know our fears, it loosens it’s grip on us.

Trust your pace & rhythm
Your natural unfolding
Surrender the need to control
Listen honestly & deeply
Trust that life will catch you
We are woven into this rhythm,
always held, always home 🤍
