Welcome to Fraser Coast Cycling Club. Safe riding.
On behalf of all our riders, I extend a sincere invitation to be a part of our supportive cycling community. Our club has a rich history and celebrates achievements since 1894. To go through individual successes would be too lengthy but it is worthwhile mentioning such athletes as Viv Young, Jim Cross, John Oxenham, Jay McCarthy, Mal Rudolph, Ben & Kurt Jensen, Hayden Josefski, Josh Rogash, Dylan

Better late than never! Race Report – Sunday 23/08/26. Race 3 GHB Gravel Kermesse Series
Many thanks to our volunteers Tony and Toni, and Katie and Adam. Your efforts in setting up the course, organising registration, and the start finish line make racing possible and are much appreciated by all riders.
Although numbers were slightly down, the racing across all 3 grades was just as intense. The fast corners, long finishing straight and the short punchy climb makes for some fast gravel racing and exhausted riders
A Grade. What a finish! Constant attacks up the short climb reduced the group to three riders going into the final downhill corner. Visiting Sunshine Coast rider Riccardo absolutely railed the corner and set up 50m lead with about 500m to go. Jarryd realising, he better close this gap took off with Adam on his wheel. With less than 100 to go the catch was made and Adam seized the opportunity to sprint around Jarryd for a win, however Jarryd in a Wout-like display of seated power held him out to claim the win. Great finish.
1st Jarryd 2nd Adam 3rd Riccardo
B Grade. With Tony and Tim tied on points, the pressure was on for the series win. Unfortunately, Tony punctured early in the race and despite a gallant effort to get back to the front of the race, couldn’t bridge the gap. Tim, Kym and Richard kept the pace high to the finish, where Tim was too strong in the sprint, holding off a fast-finishing Kym. This was Kym’s last hit out before heading to Japan to hopefully improve on her second place at last year’s Worlds. Good luck Kym
1st Tim 2nd Kym 3rd Richard
C Grade. With a packed leader board and a couple of strong riders away, the stage was set for an exciting finale. Unfortunately, the tension was interrupted as a favoured rider had to make an unplanned detour to give a disgruntled local an on-the-spot character reference. Nevertheless, the pace remained high for the final laps. Fi, given the opportunity to show her fine bike handling skills and strong sprint took the honours from Andrew and Michael. Special mention to Junior rider Connor who had an excellent series of races to stay with the pack
1st Fiona 2nd Andrew 3rd Michael
