Blast Cricket: Club-based one-hour after-school program for boys and girls aged 5-8 years. A fun-first program designed for kids new to the sport to learn through exciting activities and modified games. It’s all about smiles, high-fives and building a love for cricket. Participants receive a Blast shirt, hat, bat and ball as part of registration.

Junior Smash Series: A modified cricket competition for boys and girls aged 8-10. Played with a rubber ball, so no protective equipment required. Everyone gets to bat, to bowl and field in every position in a fast-paced (75 minutes), super-fun format. All playing equipment provided.

We’re excited to engage with and work alongside regional athletes, helping them develop their skills, build confidence and prepare for the season ahead.

The clinic will be packed with quality coaching, skill development and game-focused activities designed to help players take their cricket to the next level.

WELCOME TO OUR 2026/2027 COMMITTEE!

As we look ahead to another season of Cricket, we’d like to welcome our incoming 2026/2027 Committee and thank them for putting their hands up to help guide the club into the new season. 👏

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to our outgoing committee for all the time, effort and behind-the-scenes work they have put in. Running a junior cricket club takes plenty of time and dedication, and we truly appreciate everything you have contributed. 🫶

And, of course, a special thank you to ALL of our volunteers. Whether you’re coaching, managing, helping at training, scoring, setting up, packing away, organising teams, running the canteen, lending a hand on game day or simply stepping in when something needs doing - we really appreciate you!

Junior cricket doesn’t happen without the people who are willing to show up, pitch in and help out and we’re incredibly grateful for the support of our cricket community.

Thank you to everyone who continues to make CT Junior Cricket a great club to be part of.

IMPORTANT – CT JUNIOR CRICKET AGM 🚨🏏

The CT Junior Cricket AGM will be held on Monday 24 August at 5:30pm at the clubhouse at Mosman Park.

We are in URGENT need of people to take on key positions if we are to continue to run the programs our community has come to enjoy. There is a core group of existing committee members who are staying for another term, but we need more helpers to lighten the load.

POSITIONS NEEDED:
👉 Blast Program Coordinator and Coach Volunteers - ‼️ these programs CANNOT run this season without someone putting their hand up
👉 Canteen Convenor

SMALLER ROLES WE NEED HELP WITH:
👉 Clothing coordinator
👉 Social media manager
👉 People to help manage grounds & facilities (bins, sprinklers, toilets, mowing, general maintenance)

Even if your child is a boarder, you may be able to lend some help in other small ways that make a big difference, so please reach out if you’re able to help us in any way.

If you’d like to attend but can’t be there in person, please message us and we will arrange a link to dial in.

Congratulations to Zach and Ainslie who were both honoured at tonight’s CNQ Senior Cricket Awards in Townsville.

Zach was awarded for NQ First Nations Male Representative and Ainslie was awarded for U15 NQ Country Female Representative.

We’re so proud of our local players and it’s great to see Charters Towers Junior Cricket growing from strength to strength!
