📣📣 SENIOR ASSISTANT COACH ANNOUNCEMENT 📣📣

We’re thrilled to welcome Rick Ferraro to the club as our Senior Assistant Coach for the 2027 season! 🔵⚪️

Rick brings extensive VFL and local football experience, with a strong background in leadership and coaching as both a playing assistant and playing coach.
A strong believer in building relationships, fostering a positive environment and holding players accountable, Rick is passionate about getting the best out of those around him.

Rick will lead our midfield group in 2027, working alongside Dave as we look to take the next step as a club.
We can’t wait to get to work. Welcome to the club, Rick! 💙🤍

🚨🚨 NEW SIGNING ALERT! 🚨🚨

We could not be any more excited to have a new Gull joining us.

Please welcome KATIE FONE to Chelsea!!

Katie is an elite mid court player who can dominate all 3 positions in WA, C & WD. Her speed, pinpoint drives and relentless work rate make her a middy any team would be lucky to have.

Katie has represented both Peninsula Waves & Gippsland Stars at VNL and was part of Stars 2025 inaugural Championship team. Her value was recognised early being re-signed for 2026, and now 2027 also.

Aside from her incredible on court ability which will be a huge asset for us in 2027, she is a lovely person. Team first, supporting her team mates and always lifting up those around her. In 2026 she won Best Club Person for Gippsland Stars.

Katie will be known across the MPFNL as she joins us from Rosebud following multiple successful seasons, finals and grand final experience.

Let’s all give Katie a HUGE welcome

Another A grade player committed… this time our longest serving A grade player…. GEORGIA HERNAN!!

G is a dynamic goaler who can play both GS and GA as well as being able to swing into the mid court in WA.

She’s a long bomb specialist who had a fantastic season in 2026 coming back from an ACL injury. In particular Georgia has phenomenal form in finals, stepping up as an important goaler shooting from long range and slotting match winning goals.

G is a Gull through and through and is an experienced player to lead the way in 2027. Having played at the highest level of VNL for many years at Peninsula Waves, Hawks and Booroondara, with lots of finals experience for Chelsea and now a premiership player she is ready to take her Netty to the next level next season.

Join us in welcoming Georgia back to join Emma, Bayley, Noa and a few more old and new faces 👀👀👀

Please welcome Piva Wright to the club for the 2027 season! 👊🏼

The powerful ruckman/forward joins us with an impressive resume, having originally been drafted to Richmond before making his mark at Tooradin, where he claimed the 2025 Best & Fairest. Piva backed that up this season at Springvale Districts, taking home another Best & Fairest!

Known for his physical presence, aerial strength and leadership, Piva will be a fantastic addition to our side. His ability to find the footy, compete hard in the contest and make an impact around the ground makes him an exciting prospect for 2027 👊🏼

We can’t wait to see Piva running around in the hoops! 🔵⚪️

This A grade announcement is truly exciting!!

We are so pleased in 2027 to be able to elevate NOA SOUROOP to our A grade squad.

Noa is a phenomenal athlete whose talent is undeniable. It’s always really special to be able to elevate a player and reward them through our pathway.

Noa started in our U17 team in 2025 where she won the MPFNL league best and fairest. In 2026 she had her first year in seniors and absolutely dominated the B grade competition leaving her opponents in her wake every week.

Fresh off the back of taking home the 2026 B grade MPFNL league best & fairest Noa truly deserves this opportunity in A grade and we are excited to see what she can do.

Without a doubt the most athletic player we have seen take the court for the Gulls and one who will take this opportunity with two hands and absolutely own it.
