The Andrew Dreverman Plate “the spirit of the PKC”
On the 1st tee at Pearl Valley the Kerrians took their traditional minutes silence for our brother Drev.
A moment for reflection on how lucky we are to compete each year with our mates on the world’s great courses. A fortune bestowed on the Drev only once, he was taken from us too soon.
The Drev’s participation in PKCII Spain embodied the tournament values of friendship, camaraderie & fair
play. His joy as a relatively unseasoned golfer to be on the PKC was immense and it culminated in a final round stage victory at the famed Valderrama.
The Kerrians have been home for a couple of days reminiscing the life experiences that the first PKC on the African continent has brought us.
“Dorf meticulously organised this whole PKC, hotels, restaurants, courses, game parks. He put huge energy in” noted President Thompson.
“Dorf joined PKCXII Ireland & it was like he belonged, part of the young crowd, a mate of Baby Johnson.
“Dorf is probably the closest thing we have to a Drev character on tour, likable, nothing phases him, always smiling, loves the game, loves wine & a Michelin Star, he doesn’t need to be the centre of the room, but often is. An embodiment of the tournament values of camaraderie, friendship and fair play.”
Dorf speaking upon his return from his beaches home sitting on his cream couch with his beautiful blonde wife and daughters,
“Ahh luv thys tuure, The Peeny Kerry Kuuup us een nnual trup where I gut tu pley th bust gulf in the weeld. Eeeend I gut to pley wuth the greeetust bunch of fullas”
“Ah hud bun fellowing the PeeKayCee on instugrum for yeeers, quit the feeny fu**er who wrytes thaat shut. Eend whun Maark seed thur wes un uupening for the PeeKayCee Eylant, I juumped”
“Eet wes greet fur Dud to meeet th buys tu” said Dorf, referring to the special appearance of his dad on the final night of the tour. Ian is one of our great social media fans & it was an honour for him to meet the upper echelon Kerrians like PKC President, President Emeritus and the GOAT.
The Dorf is a great Kerrian & we are lucky to have him.
