At TEBCO, stories like Richard’s are exactly why we do what we do. At 93 years old, continuing to ride is nothing short of incredible—it’s a true testament to resilience, independence, and the power of staying active. Richard is an absolute legend in our eyes, and it’s genuinely inspiring to see him still out there enjoying the ride. We’re proud to be a small part of his journey and hope to see him keep turning the pedals for many years to come. 🚲
"I started with a TEBCO back In 2019. And recently had my brakes replaced after 2500 kms. No other problems with this bike, prior to the electric system I used the traditional system. Cancer in the Bowl put a stop to travel by bike, so the electric system became the answer. 93 years old I hope to keep the TEBCO turning around."

Fuel prices keep climbing… some places seeing increases of 30–50c per litre in weeks. ⛽📈 Just a month ago we showed how the cost of a year’s fuel could buy you an electric bike and still have some money saved. With petrol now pushing past $2.30+/L in many places, that comparison is looking even more convincing.

We here at TEBCO just love to see our valued customers out on a sun filled day enjoying the full experience cycle on a TEBCO electric bicycle. yesterday we just happened to drive past one of our favourite customer riding her 4 year old TEBCO Discovery along beach road in Mentone, Victoria. this Discovery has done 4000km and apart from regular 6 monthly services there has been ZERO problems - in fact the original battery is still operating perfectly.
No wonder the TEBCO Discovery is the highest volume selling electric bicycle for the mature ages Australia retail customer.
Why We Chose Belt Drive + Torque Sensing 🚴⚡
Not all e-bikes are built the same.
Most still use a traditional chain and basic pedal sensor. It works… but once you ride a belt drive with torque sensing, you feel the difference straight away.
A belt drive system means:
• No grease
• No rust
• No oiling
• No black marks on your pants
• Way less maintenance
It’s smoother, quieter and built to last longer than a standard chain.
Then there’s the torque sensor.
Instead of the motor just kicking in when you turn the pedals, it measures how hard you’re pushing and matches your effort instantly.
So the harder you push, the more support you get.
Soft pedal? Soft assist.
Push hard? Strong assist.
