Chermside parkrun Chermside parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run/walk put on by the community for the community at 7am ev The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once!

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Chermside parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful environment and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. Print out your barcode to bring along to the run, then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

🏃‍♀️ Chermside parkrun #535 – A Morning of Milestones and Celebrations! 🎉

What a fantastic morning at Chermside, with 295 participants, 41 PBs, 37 first timers and plenty of reasons to celebrate! And a visitor all the way from WA.

🌟 A huge congratulations to Laura Hitchcock on her incredible 500th parkrun! An amazing achievement and a wonderful example of the determination, friendship and community spirit that makes parkrun so special.

👏 A special shout-out to our Event Director Rodney Law, celebrating 250 volunteer credits — an extraordinary contribution to our parkrun community!

🎂 And of course, Happy Birthday to Kelly! What better way to celebrate than with friends, laughter and a colourful collection of costumes!

❤️ A big thank you to our 17 hi-vis heroes who made today's event possible.

Another wonderful Saturday at Chermside — where it's about so much more than just a 5km run! 🌳💚
