Tim (Trooper Knuckle) is an 8yo Thoroughbred gelding, approx 16hh, looking for his next person to continue his education and take him into his next chapter.
Tim has been off the track for approximately 12 months and has been given a lovely foundation in his retraining. He has had numerous outings and competition experience, including competitions at Boneo, SIEC and local agricultural shows, which he has handled well.
He has competed to 90cm and schooled to 1.05m, and has basic but lovely flatwork. He is athletic, willing and has plenty of potential to continue developing in whichever direction his next rider chooses — eventing, showjumping or dressage.
He is not a beginner's horse. Tim can be hot and spooky at times and requires a confident, experienced rider who understands Thoroughbreds and is comfortable with a horse who can occasionally react to his environment. He is not malicious or nasty, but he does need a capable rider who can give him confidence and continue to build his education.
He has no known significant previous injuries and has been well cared for throughout his retraining.
Tim is only being offered for sale due a recent injury, which means I won't be able to ride or continue his education for the foreseeable future. This is an incredibly difficult decision, as I genuinely believe he has a lot of potential and an exciting future with the right person.
He would suit an experienced rider looking for a quality OTTB to produce and develop in which ever direction they are keen on
