Yes. We encourage all participants to train before attempting to complete each course. The Run Clare Valley 2022 Club on Strava will track all your saved activities and motivate you to keep activity.

The 12week countdown has begun to the City-Bay Fun Run after a two-year pandemic hiatus.

If you live locally or visiting the Clare Valley, join Run Clare Valley to access new training routes, be part of a community of outdoor exercises, and be reward twice.

The aim of Run Clare Valley is to complete the course. If the record activity map shows that you completed the course, there is no need to try to manually update your activity distance on Strava or your preferred app.

• Within your app Settings, choose kilometers for tracking.
• You may listen to an audio experience during your race.
• You may pause your timer, but your activity time will be your total elapsed time, which includes paused time.
• You may restart the activity as many times as you like prior to completing the full course.

For those that register for the Finisher Medal pack and complete each course, the medal will be shipped from October 2022 or within 2 business day thereafter (once you have recorded, uploaded or emailed a screenshot of all four activities).

Participants will receive a confirmation email when they complete the Challenge. You will be asked to confirm the mailing address provided to ensure it is up to date before the finishers medal can be shipped. Run Clare Valley does not accept responsibility for lost or mishandled shipments.

Yes. Exercise with friends or loved one can make the challenge more fun and keep you motivated. Discounts apply to groups of 2 or more participants.

To access the discount email Run Clare Valley at [email protected]. You will be asked to provide the names, email address and type of registration of the participant. An email will be sent to them with a coupon code offering between up to $5 off the cost of entry to the Challenge.

No. Run Clare Valley is a personal challenge to complete all four courses. We recognise that exercising throughout the Clare Valley has so many variables. You can run, ride, and walk. When you record and upload your activity, you will be able to select the type of activity you used to complete the course.

If you choose to cycle, you can do so no more than 2 of the 4 courses to complete the challenge.

No. You must complete the full course in a single activity during one calendar day.

Participants have until the end of the calendar year to complete all 4 courses. We advise that you prepare physically and mentally for the challenge. Allow enough time to train, practice good form and technical skills, and then allocate time to a taper period before each course. The 2022 Challenge concludes at 11:59pm (ACST) Saturday 31 December 2022.

No, you can still complete a course with any GPS device or app. You will be required to save and email a copy of a screenshot that shows the activity sport, date, distance, elapsed time, and map of course.
