We all need a Jane in our life.
The one guaranteed to bring the dance moves, and the colourful vibes, to an otherwise 'dull' looking morning crew.

How lucky are both Jen and I to have Charlie join us today.
Charlie is currently on placement at , and has been working with Jen since he's been here. Today he joined us in class, to work along side Jen as we find the best fit for her to work with her limitations. He could closely monitor Jen for correct form, and help me come up with some great alternatives to some of our regular exercises.
This was a great chance to learn for not only Charlie as a physio student, but Jen as a client and I as the trainer too.

If I asked Miss 10 to do her exercises that have been given to her by a physio, I would have been met with eye rolls and moans. But when asked if she wanted to do some exercise at the studio, she was all for it. And of course what she needs to be working on was disguised in a fun circuit style workout with some of her own choices.
I do the same with grown clients too. It's normal to hate the exercises we aren't good at, and often are found challenging because it's a weakness that needs to be worked on. So by changing the exercise to something more enjoyable and/or achievable, to work to strengthen and improve the weaknesses that the body has, eventually said 'hate' becomes more enjoyable.
Mixed in amongst some more enjoyable exercises and we can usually get through a workout with minimal eye rolls and curse words.
As the saying goes, there's more than one way to skin a cat!
