A wonderful way to start your day go for a walk! 🤍💚🤍

IT'S SOULFUL SUNDAY... and that time of the year again!

As the year comes to an end, we can often feel a bit like we've run a marathon with the finish line in sight!!! Hopefully we don't arrive exhausted!!!

The POWER of walking goes far beyond just getting your exercise. This excerpt is from one of our popular publications, Points of Balance, by Mansukh Patel & Chris Barrington.

“Walking provides the perfect tool for creating a happy, balanced human being. It is said when you walk, your strength and fortune walk with you. One of the greatest gifts it provides is that of simplicity.

The stimulation of nerve endings in the feet activates energy flow throughout the body. Leg muscles are toned, the spine gently rocked and energy spirals up through the spine.

Walking in nature allows us to absorb negative ions, which also act as a stimulator of fresh energy and aliveness. The highest level of negative ions exist by the ocean, open plains and valleys and near waterfalls and trees.”

As you enter this season, schedule time for walking - doesn't have to be power walking, just walking with power!

Weekend walks exploring amongst this beautiful nature after all the amazing rain. Creek flowing with ducks swimming. Birds singing so still & peaceful.
Life balance going for long walks filling my cup with the 3 of us.

The International Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism announces that our beloved teacher Thich Nhat Hanh has passed away peacefully at Từ Hiếu Temple in Huế, Vietnam, at 00:00hrs on 22nd January, 2022, at the age of 95. We invite our global spiritual family to take a few moments to be still, to come back to our mindful breathing, as we together hold Thay in our hearts in peace and loving gratitude for all he has offered the world.
