Age Nationals Day 5 Update

After an impressive personal best on Day 2 in the 100m Backstroke, Aerin continued the momentum with an incredibly strong swim in the 200m Freestyle today. Aerin more than held her own on the national stage, delivering a composed and impressive performance. We are so proud of your efforts and the way you’ve represented Claremont Aquatic Swim Club.

2026 Junior State Championships Final Wrap-Up ✨

What an unforgettable finish to the 2026 Junior State Championships. Our squad showed grit, heart and sportsmanship in every race, with countless PBs and standout swims across the board.

🏊‍♀️ Open Water Swim Results 10/1/26 🏊‍♂️

Our CLAQ open water team took part in their first swim of 2026 at Sorrento beach yesterday ☀️🌊🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

It was a windy morning, but that didn’t deter our 500m swimmers, who took off first and dominated in the water:

• Harry - 2nd 🥈(9yo Boys)
• ⁠Billie - 1st 🥇(10yo Girls)
• ⁠Arthur - 4th🙌(11yo Boys)
• ⁠Max - 1st 🥇(12yo Boys)

Special mention to our Chaperone Dads who did a lap with the kids in this event! 💪👏

1.25km
Elle swam, and then ran, like a champion to cross the finish line in 3rd place in her event (11yo Girls)! 🥉
Matt dug deep and had a terrific swim. He was 7th across the line (12yo Boys) 👏

2.5km
Lucy was the team’s only swimmer in this event. Diving back in to the water for the first time this year, she swam impressively to finish 6th in the U14 Girls age category ⭐️

5km - U18 Girls
Josie and Aerin walked in to the water arm in arm, and then championed each other around their course. They both had fantastic swims.

Goodbye 2025… Hello 2026!
As we wrap up an incredible year, we want to extend a huge thank you to the people who make our club what it is.

To our swimmers — your hard work, courage, and commitment in and out of the pool inspire us every single week.

To the parents — thank you for the early mornings, the cheering, the car‑pooling, and the endless support.

To Gaye and her coaching team — your leadership, patience, and passion continue to shape confident, resilient athletes.

To Travis, our Club President, and our dedicated committee members — thank you for keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. And once again, to our swimmers, you are the heart of this club, and we are so proud of each and every one of you.

2025 was full of milestones, personal bests, and unforgettable moments… But 2026 is going to be even better.
We hope everyone is enjoying a well‑earned holiday break. Rest up, recharge, and get ready, we’ll be back on deck soon!

A massive well done to Aerin, Jane, Josie, Juliet, Lucy and Olivia for their fantastic efforts at the State Championships over the past few days. We are incredibly proud of each of you and the way you represented Claremont Aquatic.

Special shout‑out to Aerin for an exceptional championship performance — bringing home Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, plus achieving National qualifying times in the 400m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke and 50m Backstroke, with several other events coming very close. An amazing achievement!🥇🥈🥉

And of course, a heartfelt thank you to our Head Coach, Gaye, for your dedication, guidance and hard work in preparing the team over the past few months.
