💙💛 METRO FC | BUILDING THE FUTURE OF FEMALE FOOTBALL 💛💙

The future of female football at Metro FC starts with the pathway we build today. ⚽️

Metro FC is incredibly proud to announce the appointment of Jayden Wiggins as our Female Pathways Officer for Season 2027.

This is more than just a new role — it’s another important step in our long-term commitment to building a strong, sustainable pathway for girls and women at Metro FC.

Jayden returned to Metro FC in 2026 to take on the challenge of coaching our Championship 1 men’s side, helping guide the team to a top-four finish in their return to that level.

In 2027, Jayden’s focus will shift towards building our female pathway.

He will continue coaching our Under 8 girls team alongside his daughter Emmie, while also committing to coach our Senior Women’s side as they begin an important rebuild following the retirement of a number of players during 2026.

BUILDING A PATHWAY, NOT JUST TEAMS

Our vision is to create an environment where a young girl can walk through the gates of North Chigwell, pull on a Metro shirt for the first time and know there is a place for her at every stage of her football journey.

From our youngest girls…

➡️ Junior football
➡️ Youth football
➡️ Senior Women’s football
➡️ Leadership, coaching and mentoring

We want our girls to grow up through the Metro family. 💙💛

We want our young players watching our senior women and thinking:

“That’s where I want to be one day.”

The retirement of several important players in 2026 marks the end of one chapter for our women’s program — but it also creates an exciting opportunity to build the next generation.

Jayden’s role will help connect our female programs, support player development and strengthen the pathway from our youngest girls through to senior football.

It won’t happen overnight. It will take players, coaches, volunteers, families and the entire club working together.

But we’re ready to build it.

Because the girls playing at Metro today aren’t just the future of our club.

They are our future.

Somewhere to belong.
Somewhere to develop.
Somewhere to dream.

Join us in welcoming Jayden to this new role with Metro FC.

If your a female, have a daughter or know a friend looking to play soccer across any age group and would like to know more about the opportunities available at metro please reach out to Metro FC via Facebook

or jotform
