Congratulations to all the boxers tonight, and a big thank you to the Cockburn Bowling Rec Centre for a great new venue for Boxing WA.

For Ryan, tonight was about more than just six minutes in the ring. Months of hard work, late nights, sore noses, nerves and countless rounds of preparation all came together in one moment.

Watching him step in, settle the nerves and put everything he’d worked for into action was something pretty special. Seeing him achieve this milestone surrounded by the Hurt Locker Fight team, and friends who have supported him along the way made it even more meaningful.

Proud of you, Ryan. One milestone achieved, another memory added to the Hurt Locker legacy.

Hurt Locker Fight Team have nominated Ryan to step into the ring for his first amateur bout this weekend in Cockburn, competing in a special bout sanctioned through BOXING WA.
His dedication has never been just about himself. He turns up, puts in the work and pushes the people around him to be better.

That’s what a team is about.

Now we get to see all that hard work come together this Saturday.

Two of our fighters, two epic battles, and plenty of HURTLOCKER heart in the ring.

Tess and Tane both stepped up against opponents who brought class, respect and everything they had. That’s what boxing is about — two people willing to test themselves, push each other and walk out with even more respect than they walked in with.

A massive thank you to the team at for the support before and after the bouts. Pure class. 🥊
