Winners!!!! What a heart stopping game by our Mont women today! Chanette Thuringer coming through with the goods to kick a goal with one minute to go and put our beloved Magpies in front for the first time all game!

Well done to every single member of the squad this season and all the off field roles! A team effort and now it's time to celebrate! ⚫️βšͺ️🫢

πŸ† GRAND FINAL DAY! πŸ†

We want to see a massive black and white army at North Hobart Oval! Get along, make plenty of noise and get behind our girls from the first bounce to the final siren.

Today is extra special for two of our own.

Bridie Horne runs out for her 200th career game, while Sarah Midgley celebrates her 150th career game β€” and what better stage to do it than a Grand Final! πŸ–€πŸ€

Both girls are products of our Claremont Bulldogs junior program, growing up through the club and going on to become such an important part of Claremont Football.

Two incredible milestones. Two Claremont girls. One very special Grand Final day.

They’ve worked hard all year. One more game. One more challenge. Let’s bring it home! πŸ†

πŸ–€πŸ€ ONE CLUB. ONE TEAM. ONE PURPOSE.

πŸ–€πŸ€ GO THE MIGHTY MAGPIES! πŸ–€πŸ€

'Twas the night before the Grand Final, and all through Mont town,
Not a Magpie was stirring, nor wearing a frown.
The black and white guernseys were hung up with care,
In hopes that the premiership soon would be theirs.

The supporters were ready, and all eager to go,
Dreaming of a trophy and to celebrate with co.

When out on the oval there rose such a clatter,
The roosting birds flew up to see what's the matter.
Away to the boundary the wind gave a whistle,
As quiet settled down like the down of a thistle.

The Claremont squad gathered, their eyes sharp and clear,
Knowing the moment of glory was certainly near.
With wings spread and ready, they perched on the line,
Determined to make this big victory for the fourth time.

They looked to the sky as the dark faded low,
Ready to swoop on the field down below.

So look out, brave Lionesses, take to your guardβ€”
The Magpies are flying, and flying in hard!

Get to North Hobart Oval tomorrow, pack the streamers, bring your loudest voices and come dressed in your black and white to cheer on our beloved Magpies. First bounce is at 1:10 pm! Carn the Mont! ⚫️βšͺ️🫢

At approximately 4:40am Wednesday morning, two visitors decided to drop into the Claremont Football Club.

Unfortunately, they weren't there for training or to renew their membership…

Both were wearing Kiss Chasey hooded jumpers so are clearly sharing a wardrobe and, judging by what they were up to, probably a brain cell too...

PERSON 1
KSCY Jumper with the cross on the back, light pants and white shoes.
Long, scruffy beard and a rather distinctive walk
PERSON 2
KSCY Jumper with writing down the sleeves, dark pants and work boots.
Clearly not a fan of the cold, judging by how well rugged up they were.

This is incredibly disappointing for a community sporting club. Like many clubs, everything we have goes back into supporting our players, juniors, families and the wider Claremont community.

If you know something, please speak up.

Please SHARE this post so we can reach as many people as possible.

We’re hoping someone recognises our early morning, uninvited, fashion-conscious visitors. πŸ‘€
