TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT DAY
Sunday 16 November 2025
Team Tournament as Special Event
The Kodokan Judo Association (SA) will be holding its last event for 2025 on Sunday 16 November at Goshin Judo Centre.
The Training & Development Day caters for both Junior and Senior players alike. The Junior session will run for 1.5hrs from 10am to 11.30am. The Seniors session will run from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
The Junior & Senior sessions will have Senseis demonstrating some of the traditional Kodokan Judo techniques not normally practised. This will be a great opportunity to learn some new techniques.
Don’t forget to bring a drink and something to snack on.
TEAMS EVENT:
This T&D day is going to be a bit different. Not only will there be the specialised Junior and Senior sessions, but a Club V Club Teams Event will be held between the Junior & Seniors sessions (11.15 to 11.45am).
Each member club is invited to enter a 5 person team consisting of:
1 x U10 (can be male or female)
1 x U13(can be male or female)
1 x U16(can be male or female)
2 x Over 16 (Cadets and/or Adults)
It will be a rapid knock out tournament consisting of 2 minute bouts. Youngest division to oldest in order. So if 4 clubs enter, 2 clubs will compete against each other with the losing team being knocked out. This will leave 2 teams to fight for 1st place. Only 1 team per club on this occasion.
It is designed to be a bit of fun and if this event is successful, it may be the forerunner for a regular teams event to be established. So, speak to your Sensei’s and get organising your teams to see who is the best on the day.
Training Fee for the day:$15.
Registration to attend the day is via the KJA SA Revolutionise link: Home - Kodokan Judo Association (SA) (right click and select ‘Open Hyperlink’)
Location: Goshin Judo Centre – 917A South Rd, CLARENCE GARDENS. Entry via Gladys Street.
Any questions or queries to the KJA (SA) Technical Director: David Gordge – 0416 115 195.
