He’s got the confidence. She’s got the heart. Saturday’s sorted.
“She’s a mare who tries hard and gives her all. The barrier’s not going to have too much of an impact. Hopefully she can run well and figure in the finish.” – Zac Lloyd

The lights were on at Luna Park, and the draw’s done: Barrier 7. Savvy Hallie didn’t need to be there. She’s saving it for Saturday. Four days to go.

“You can’t control the draw. We’ll work with what we have got, and she’s the kind of mare who makes the most of it.” - Brad Widdup

Savvy Hallie gets the spotlight on Saturday, and the team that got her there wouldn’t have it any other way. Six days to go, and she’s handling it better than any of us.
“She’s got a temperament you can’t teach. Cool as you like, every single day.” – Brad Widdup

Box 37 has a bit of history. Icebath called it home during her career. One week out from The Everest, it’s home to Savvy Hallie. Same box, same team, same quiet belief. 1 mare. Everything to gain. “That box has been good to us. We’re just lucky to have another good mare in it.” - Brad Widdup.

Three Group 2 wins, and she still lets her racing do the talking.

“She doesn’t know what race she’s in. She just turns up and tries her heart out every time.” - Brad Widdup

Nine days out from The Everest, and every morning starts with Savvy Hallie. The whole BWR team make sure she has everything she needs.

“Everything this week is built around her. She’s the one we’re all working for.“ - Brad Widdup

10 years of The Everest. 10 days to go. Proud to be back again, this time with Savvy Hallie. 1 mare. Everything to gain.

🏔️ HELLBENT ON THE SUMMIT 🏔️
Ten years. Twelve runners. One Savvy mare.

We’re thrilled to confirm that Savvy Hallie will run in Mulberry Racing’s slot in The TAB Everest (1200m) at Royal Randwick on Saturday 17 October.

The four-year-old mare won the Group 2 Sheraco Stakes last month and ran a terrific second to Tempted in Saturday’s Group 2 Premiere Stakes. Now she heads to the 10th running of the world’s richest race on turf.

“She’s earned her spot, and there’s still improvement in her. My job now is to have her at her very best on Everest day.” – Brad Widdup

A huge thank you to Mulberry Racing and to owners B K Racing & Breeding and Ben Vassallo. See you at Randwick! 💚🤍

The day has finally arrived and our newest addition is officially in use! The water walker is up and running, and we couldn’t be more excited to have this fantastic facility now part of the horses’ daily routine. A great addition to the stable and another step forward for our training program.

Double the thrill at Wyong yesterday!

A fantastic result for the Brad Widdup stable, producing a classy training double with Flying Grey charging home under Christian Reith and Don’t Tell Polly saluting with Chad Schofield in the saddle. Both horses were presented in outstanding order and it showed on the track.

Massive credit to the entire team behind the scenes - the hard work from all the staff at home never goes unnoticed. Early mornings, long days, and the dedication to getting these horses to the races in peak condition is what makes results like this possible!!

Congratulations as well to the owners who put their trust in the stable - always special to see that support rewarded with a trip to the winner’s circle.

And a very special mention to Polly Harris with Don’t Tell Polly in her honour, making the victory even more meaningful. Moments like that are what make racing so special. This one was for you Harris!
