🧙♂️ Merlin the Wizard of Run 🧙♂️
Had the amazing opportunity to deliver a care package and share some kilometres with today. Merlin is running around Australia, he started at the top of Cape York, and 10,000km later is in Perth, before heading North.
It’s rare to meet people who spark something incredibly inspiring inside yourself - there’s no special cause for Merlin to do this - just simply finding his own limits, pushing through them and growing as a human along the way. Living out a dream that’s been nagging inside him - pushing back the fear and anxiety that holds all of us back.
Cheers for these special kilometres today- Merlin, all of us can take something away from your journey and ask ourselves deeper questions:

Post race blues suck.
I’ve felt pretty deflated the last two weeks as my body has recovered, I’m back to work and life is more or less back to “normal”.
These post event blues can hang around for a bit, so it’s best to acknowledge them, fill up your cup with other enjoyable things and ride them out.

🙌 🔥 Client Results 🔥🙌
Some great progress from over the last 2 months, chipping away at her goals for more muscle mass and tone.
She’s got a lot leaner in the process and gained a tonne of strength.
It’s a familiar story - we removed the excess Pilates, added some well structured resistance sessions and made sure she was well fed - her diligence and discipline in and out of the gym have secured her some great results so far.
Not final form yet, so watch this space 💪

🏃Delirious 100mile Race recap 🏃
178km of testing my endurance, my mental capacity, battling sleep deprivation and fatigue.
Amazing what the body can do when the mind is locked in.
In essence, I had a perfect race - no injury, no stomach issues, no points where I felt I wouldn’t finish.
There were some very deep lows mentally, and some absolutely invigorating highs.
I wanted to test every part of me- mind, body and soul.
I wanted to go further than what’s comfortable.
I have come out the other side of this experience with a new outlook on what “hard” is, and a new appreciation for what my body is capable of.
Everyone is asking “what’s next?”…..
For now I get to revel in the glory of completing a goal I set 6 months ago….whats next will have to wait 😎

I’ve had the privilege of watching Coach Lily grow into an incredible trainer over the last 12 months.
From our first phone call, I knew that I had met a strong, independent and highly intelligent coach, who’s infectious high energy permeates through her coaching and her relationships with clients.

5 weeks out and the gym work stays in.
Because the goal isn’t to survive race day.
It’s to arrive with legs that still function after 170km (however that’s going to fu***ng debatable 😮💨🤣).
Strength work increases tissue tolerance and improves neuromuscular efficiency — which means less energy leak every step.
Boring? Maybe.
Effective? Absolutely.
