IMPORTANT Training Update for Weds 5th May, and Thurs 6th May (AM session) 2021​.

Please note that due to ongoing electrical issues at the pool, training this afternoon, Weds 5th and tomorrow morning, 6th is CANCELLED for all squads. We will update you with regards to tomorrow’s afternoon training as soon as possible.

🗣️📣 APRIL EVENT UPDATE 📣🗣️

Swimming Australia can confirm the 2021 Australian Age Swimming Championships, which includes the Australian Multi-Class Swimming Championships, will proceed as planned on the Gold Coast following this morning’s positive information provided by the Queensland Premier.

Swimming Australia acknowledges that the delay in confirmation over the past 48 hours has caused uncertainty, but we wanted to ensure we had the most up-to-date information and confirmation from Queensland Health before making any final decisions.

We are closely monitoring the current COVID situation in Queensland and any potential impact on our upcoming competitions on the Gold Coast.

We will provide further updates once more information is available with relevant government advice and the health and safety of athletes, coaches, officials and staff paramount in any
decision making.

Please note that due to Covid restrictions, the pool closed from 5pm today. This afternoons sessions is open to all squads from 3.30-4.30.

Tuesday 30th - Pool Closed (Covid)
Wednesday 31st - Pool Closed (Covid)
Thursday 1st - Pool Closed (Covid)
Friday 2nd - (Public Holiday)
Monday 5th - (Public Holiday)
Tuesday 6th - Return to normal - all squads

Updated Training details in line with new Covid Restrictions (Monday 11th Jan, 2021)

All Squads will resume as per normal Training times from Tuesday, 12th January, 2021.

All swimmers MUST arrive at the pool and leave the pool in a face mask. They will be allowed to remove the mask for training.

Wrap Up with 5 swimmers competing across 6 events. Congratulations to our finalists, with Meghan gaining a gold and a 5th placing in her respective finals and Mali placing 9th in her final. Special mention and thanks to their coaches, Michael and Liam.

Congratulations to our swimmers who competed in the first of their individual events today at Chandler. Cosette took off 2 secs to place 15th in the 12 yrs 200 free, Mali placed 31st in the 16 yrs 100 free with a 0.02 PB and Meghan gaining BRONZE in the 12yrs 200 breast stripping 8.27 secs off her entry time.
