A swag of old boys and their cubs spotted at the Gordon Tallis Carnival in Townsville over the weekend 💚💛 The Old Boys were proud to make a small contribution from our Kick for Cash fundraising held throughout the season to support the team’s nutrition and sustenance over the weekend. Nothing beats those half time oranges 🙌🏻😜 Well done on a great season Junior bears and congratulations on a a great carnival U10 Bears & Parents 🐻💚💛

This Sunday, I’m opening the doors at Maitri simply to offer “A Place to Rest.”

From 9am–12pm, the studio will be open for anyone who would like somewhere quiet to be.

Come in and make a cup of tea. Sit. Lie down. Move. Cry. Talk. Be quiet. Stay for five minutes or stay for a while.

There will be blankets, bolsters and some simple restorative poses available if you feel like moving or resting your body.

You don’t need to book.
You don’t need to participate in anything.
You don’t need to talk or explain why you’re there.

I’ll be around, but I’ll also give the room some privacy. I’ll only be a gentle knock on the door away.

From 10–11am, I’ll offer a free guided practice with gentle movement, restorative poses, breathing and rest. You’re welcome to join in, or simply continue resting in your own way.

Nothing to achieve. Nothing expected of you.

A few of our Bears and Old Boys who were spotted out at the Jugs n Jocks evening. 💪🏼Well done Grant and Clermont Pharmacy for once again taking the initiative and time to create an evening that focuses on enhancing and supporting the health and wellbeing of men in our community. The attendees were privileged to spend an evening hearing Hugo Toovey’s story and about 25 STAY ALIVE and from all accounts it was once again a humbling and inspirational experience. Ensuring the wellbeing of our players - past and present, is the motivating factor in the development of our Old Boys Club and it’s a movement made easier with people doing great things to help like Grant does! Cheers to that and thanks for bringing your wisdom to Clermont, Hugo! 🍻💚💛
