Redlands Lawn Tennis Association Redlands Lawn Tennis Association is located in Cleveland, Queensland. We have nine synthetic grass courts . Come in for a hit!

All courts are flood-lit enabling you to play either day or night. Facilities include change rooms, Pro Shop, and free parking. With a relatively new clubhouse, a well stocked Pro-shop and nine floodlit synthetic grass tennis courts, our centre is the envy of most tennis clubs throughout Queensland. While we are a non-profit organisation, our centre is run professionally and caters for all ages.

WE HEARD YOUR FEEDBACK 🎾

A change to the Plate, and we think you're going to like it.

The Ladies division is becoming a MIXED division. The Men's division stays exactly as it is, and everything else about the weekend is unchanged.

You told us you'd rather play alongside each other than in separate draws — so now you can. Couples on the same team.
Club mates travelling together. One squad, one bar tab, one celebration at the end of it.

How a Mixed team works:
• 2 ladies and 2 men on court every round
• Nominate extra players and rotate between rounds

And one more thing — entries have been extended by a week.
You now have until SATURDAY 12 SEPTEMBER to get a team in.

Men's teams: 4 players, unchanged.

Entries close Saturday, 12 September. The Plate runs
3–5 October in Cleveland.

TEAM SPOTLIGHT — PASIFIK SWINGERS 🌴🎾

Our furthest-travelled team by a very long way: flying in from Norfolk Island, "a tiny island floating in the Pacific, where Google Maps sometimes needs a moment to find you."

There's a story behind the name — but apparently what happens with the Pasifik Swingers stays with the Pasifik Swingers. So we got the PG version instead: they're a Norfolk Island side, so "Pasifik" made sense, and "Swingers" just sounded like the right description for a bunch of players with questionable forehands.

What kind of team are they bringing? "A little bit of everything — competitive enough to want the win, relaxed enough to have a laugh, and chaotic enough to keep everyone guessing."

And their wishlist for the weekend: big serves, heroic rallies, dodgy line calls, and a bar tab that tells a better story than the scorecard. Plus margaritas — the ladies were specific.

Six players. Two of them called Gary. Neither spells it the same way — and the team is named after them both.

Which means Ben, Dean, Liam and Tom are heading to Cleveland, depending on two blokes named Gary to live up to a pun. No pressure, lads.

For the record: "Garry-A-Tricks" was the last funny name suggested before someone hit register. No takebacks.

Three words to describe them? "Almost law abiding."
What kind of team are they bringing? "Wooden Spoon Dodgers" — i.e. the plan is to finish anywhere but last.

All six are RLTA members, with the furthest travelled coming in from Mansfield. And their wishlist for the weekend: seating for hangover recovery, table tennis bats with the felt still on, and a bar that stocks Captain Morgan.

Clear blue sky, boys. We'll see what we can do.

Every team at The Redlands Plate has a story. This one starts on Temu, with an outfit covered in black ducks, and ends with Big Energy on the radio.

Where are they coming from? "Probably the pub."
Three words? "Nothing. But. Winners."
And what do they want served up at this year's Plate?
"Respectable prices."

How does the Redlands Plate actually work? Here's the rundown 🎾 →

Round robin team doubles across Men's and Women's adult divisions. Each round features 6 doubles matches with 4 players competing per round — registered players can rotate between rounds, so everyone gets court time.

Three days of play:
🏆 Sat 3 Oct — 2 rounds of round robin
🏆 Sun 4 Oct — 2 rounds of round robin + NRL watch party
🏆 Mon 5 Oct — 1 round of round robin, champions crowned

And it's not just bragging rights 💰 — teams are playing for $1,500 in total prize money, with $500 to each division champion (presented as 5 x $100 prepaid cards per winning team).

Yesterday our squad travelled to the David Turbayne Tennis Centre to take on Team Brisbane for a full day of inter-club doubles 🎾

There was plenty of great tennis, strong teamwork, and Redlands pride on court, with our squad coming away with the win 🏆❤️💛

A fantastic effort from everyone who pulled on the red and gold and represented RLTA so well.

A big thank you to Team Brisbane for hosting us and for a great day of competition. We look forward to the next one!

What a day at the Junior House Carnival.

Red, Blue, Green and Yellow competed all morning, and it came right by down to the wire — Yellow House taking it by a single point, with Green just behind and Blue and Red finishing level.

Everything is fun and games… until we lose. 😏
This time around, our RLTA players are expected to do anything and everything within the rules of good sportsmanship to win back the highly prestigious, completely fake trophy. 😂🏆

And if we don’t? Oh well… there’s always next time!

Teams can be formed across different clubs and regions — so grab your mates from across town, or your regular hitting partners from another club, and enter together.

We're welcoming entries from right across Queensland and New South Wales. If you can get a team together, you can enter.
