Interclub Results & Words from Coach Melanie:
We had 38 of our young trampoline athletes compete at the second Interclub competition of the year, and it was fantastic to see their hard work and dedication on display.
After plenty of persistence and determination, Claire Roberts earned her first gold medal in Level 5 Trampoline. Another dedicated athlete, Izzak Stimson, had an outstanding competition, taking out both Level 6 Trampoline and the Level 6 All Rounder award.
Several athletes were competing in their very first trampoline competition, and what a debut it was! Sunny Magill, William Norris, Leo Barkley, Ash Bell, and Skylah Farr all came away with gold medals. A wonderful start to their competition journeys.
Tegan Perovic showed incredible resilience when she discovered on the day that she had been entered into a higher level than the one she had been training for. Rather than letting it faze her, she stepped up, gave it her all, and competed with a fantastic attitude. We are very proud of the way she handled the challenge, and that determination will undoubtedly serve her well in the future.
A big thank you to our judges and coaches Hudson Brown, Ella Brushe, Levi Coutts-Hohenhaus, Jo Van Dam, Joe Finley, Ana Sofronie, Anna Platt & Melanie Tonks for generously giving their time and expertise throughout the weekend. Our athletes couldn't do it without your support.
Our next major event is the Australian Gymnastics Championships, which will be held in Sydney during the July school holidays. We are excited to have 20 trampoline athletes representing Redland City Gymsports as part of Team Queensland on the national stage, and we wish them all the very best.

Hey members & community...
There seems to have been a bottle smashing party between our pavilion and the skipping shed sometime last night.
With the help of some wonderful volunteers we have cleaned it up as best we could but please be mindful there would still be some small shards of glass laying around.
NO BAREFEET when going to bathrooms...
A report will be forwarded to authorities...

Over the weekend, our club proudly took part in its first Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) competition at Mango Hill YMCA.
Charlotte Allan, Zaeli Boswell and Charlotte De Monte embraced the challenge and settled their nerves as soon as they stepped onto the mat.
They competed across four disciplines:
• Floor
• Vault
• Bars
• Beam
Coach Ana was very proud of the girls for listening carefully and following through on instructions throughout the competition.
The team received feedback on each discipline, and the girls now have a clear focus for training in the lead-up to the next competition.
We look forward to seeing them compete again in July. Well done, girls!

QLD States wrap-up from Coach Melanie -
Congratulations to our thirty-three trampolinists who made us feel so proud of them. They all performed to the best of their ability with some great results. It was a great weekend with outstanding results from our athletes. Izzak Stimson, in his last routine of the day, achieved a qualifying score to take him to the Nationals for Level 6 trampoline. His brother Tyga also had a great competition, achieving 2 silvers and a gold.
All-rounder Charlotte Johnstone scored a gold, silver, and bronze in her events. Not forgetting the disappointments for some of the athletes and their coaches. It was heart-breaking to see Grace and Toby both fly off the trampoline in their last skill. Jonah watching from the stands and Harry unable to do his second routine.
However, there were memorable performances. The Matthews girls won Level 4 Synchro. Jade Elliott won Level 4 Double Mini Trampoline. Jed Bomford won Level 5 Tumbling. Ella Brushe won U17 trampoline, Tyga Stimson won 17+ trampoline. Taylor Myles won Level 6 trampoline and Charlotte Johnstone won Senior
Trampoline.
The Club has twenty athletes qualified to compete in the National Championships to be held in Sydney in July.
Newcomers to the team are Trampolinists, Baxter Richardson (10), and Aaliyah Rameka (12). And Tumblers, Amielle Davidson (16), and Georgia Struik (16).
A big thank you to our Coaches who went over the call of duty. Joe Finley, Lesley Daly, Anna Platt and Lyn Gilroy. Lyn Gilroy has been names the State Coach for the 2026 State Team. Anna Platt named as Coach and Joe Finley as Assistant Coach.
Our judges for these competitions were Malcolm McBride, Melanie Tonks, Alex Gilroy, Lyn Gilroy, Anna Platt and Jo Van Dam. When not competing our competitors also did a stint of judging. They were Charlotte Johnstone, Jed Bomford, Tyga Stimson, Levi Coutts-Hohenhaus and Hudson Brown.
