He celebrated his 92nd birthday this morning at the club with fellow Keenagers.

Visit to Coburg Table Tennis Club

Last Friday morning, the Club was pleased to host a visit from Federal Member for Wills, The Hon. Peter Khalil MP, Federal Member for Cooper, The Hon. Ged Kearney MP, and Councillor Helen Politis (Merri-bek Council).

The visit celebrated the completion of three important community facility upgrades at the Coburg North Sports Hub, including the Club’s foyer renovations, which were completed last year.

There was a great turnout from Club members, who enjoyed the opportunity to meet our guests and showcase the Club and its facilities. Members were also treated to a great exhibition match between two of our young players, Liam Yu Lin and David Arango.

Peter Khalil also got involved, playing a few matches himself and enjoying the opportunity to test his skills at the table.

It was a terrific morning and a great opportunity to showcase the improvements to our facilities, while acknowledging the investment being made in the Coburg North Sports Hub for the benefit of the local community.
