Most people don't have a training problem.

They have an eating problem.

Not because they're eating "bad" foods.

Because they're making life harder than it needs to be.

One thing I've noticed over the years is that people who consistently get results don't necessarily have perfect diets.

What they do have is a system.

A breakfast they can eat every day.

A lunch they can prepare in bulk.

A dinner that fits around family life.

They don't spend their afternoons raiding the vending machine because they never let themselves get to that point.

This week's blog breaks down the simple nutrition framework we recommend to many of our members.

No detoxes.

No magic supplements.

No starvation.

Just practical nutrition that supports the work you're doing in the gym.

The truth is, consistency beats marathon workouts every time.

🏃♀️ 2km in May Challenge Wrap Up 🏃♂️

What an incredible month of consistency, effort, and community at the gym!

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the challenge, with the goal of completing minimum 20 days of 2km runs across the month to go into the draw to win a $100 LSKD voucher. The level of commitment was unreal — showing up day after day, building habits, and pushing through even when motivation was low.

A huge congratulations to our winner GAIL JAMES 👏

Gail didn’t just hit the minimum — she absolutely blew it out of the water, consistently completing over 2km every single day for the entire 31 days of May. That kind of consistency is what it’s all about!

But we’re not done yet…

Gail has now moved into the next stage of the challenge:
Each day, the distance increases by +1km per day until 5km/day is reached, and from there it becomes last person standing. The final athlete remaining will take home a $500 LSKD voucher 🏆

It’s been awesome to see so many members continue to push through this next phase and keep stacking the kms.

A massive shoutout to everyone who took part and who is still taking part in the next stage — whether you were running, walking, or jumping into the rowing option, the effort and consistency across the gym has been unreal. Even better, seeing members supporting each other has been just as powerful as the training itself.

This is what it’s all about — showing up, backing yourself, and being part of a community that keeps moving forward together.

Let’s see who’s left standing 👀💪

🌟 MEMBER OF THE MONTH – CORRINA COLLINS 🌟

A massive congratulations to our Member of the Month, Corrina Collins! 👏💪

Corrina has been putting in outstanding work in the gym, showing consistency, grit, and a fantastic attitude in every session. Her dedication doesn’t go unnoticed, and she continues to push herself week after week.

We’re especially excited to share that Corrina will also be stepping up to compete in HYROX again this August 🔥 — a huge achievement and a reflection of all the hard work she’s been putting in behind the scenes. We can’t wait to see her back on the competition floor!

Corrina is also a great part of our community, always training with positivity and encouraging those around her.

As a thank you and congratulations, Corrina will receive a $50 LSKD voucher 🎉

Be sure to give her a big congratulations when you see her in the gym! 🙌❤️

Most people don't struggle with exercise because they're lazy.

They struggle because they're busy.

I was talking to a new client recently about her gym routine. She was doing all the right things — getting through work, organising the kids, carving out time for herself and getting to the gym three nights a week.

But by the end of our conversation, it struck me that she wasn't physically exhausted.

She was mentally exhausted.

Every session involved decisions.

What machine should I use?
Is it free?
How much weight?
More cardio?
Not enough cardio?

Sometimes the hardest part of training isn't the workout.

It's the thinking.

That's one of the reasons I love structured group training. You don't have to become your own coach after a full day of work and family responsibilities.

You just walk in.

The program is written.
The coach guides the session.
The work gets done.

A simple 40-minute workout completed consistently will beat the perfect 90-minute workout that never happens.

I've written more about it here:

BOXPLUS: THE NEXT EVOLUTION STARTS NOW

For 16 years, Round 1 has changed a lot.

New spaces. New equipment. Strength programs. HYROX. New challenges.

But through all of it, one thing has remained at the centre:

Boxing.

Not because it’s all we do.

Because it’s who we are.

Over the last few months we've gone back to the drawing board and asked a simple question:

What actually makes BoxPlus… BoxPlus?

The answer wasn't random stations or random punches.

It was movement. Pressure. Controlled chaos. Energy. A room full of people working hard together.

Starting in June, BoxPlus evolves.

Smarter boxing flow.
More purposeful movement.
Stronger session identities.
Rebuilt classics.
Same atmosphere.

More structure.

More purpose.

More progression.

Same energy.

Week 2 of Metabolic Circuits and I’m seeing exactly what I expected...

Not people lying on the floor wrecked.

Not people saying the weights are too heavy.

Nope.

I’m watching people become logistics experts 😂

"If I put my bench HERE..."

"Maybe if I move my rack THERE..."

"Can I save 6 seconds between exercises?"

Honestly some of you are one whiteboard away from redesigning the Kwinana Freeway.

The funny thing is I’ve been running versions of Metabolic Circuits for 15+ years and Week 2 almost always looks exactly like this.

Heavy lifts.
Higher reps.
Minimal rest.

Different stimulus.

Different challenge.

And every single time the pattern seems to be:

Week 2 → confusion
Week 3 → acceptance
Week 4 → confidence
Week 5 → “Actually...this is pretty good.”

If you're feeling a bit unsettled — relax. You're probably exactly where you're meant to be.
