It was an exciting return to the long course pool for our first targeted Club Meet at Perth HPC 🏊
Our junior swimmers were first up and keen to impress! There were some great personal bests happening in times and also in technique with swimmers testing their skills from training, and also their good listening skills with nonstop personalised coach feedback 👌
This brave group of swimming soldiers finished up with 16 medals with the lovely Ruth flying solo in the Gold department 🥇 🌟
The seniors kicked on the afternoon in strong fashion and we had 23 top 3 finishes 👏 Maria achieved an amazing 2 National qualifying times in what will be her first Nationals appearance and she finished in the Top 5 Achievers of the Meet 🎉🎉 We are so very proud of her 😊
Our club had several swimmers bring the heat, racking up a clean sweep of PBs; Talon, Greayson & Piper hit the big time with some great freestyle improvements; and Tilly went sub 30sec for her 50FS. Thanks to UWA - West Coast Swimming Club for hosting 😁
Well done team and thanks coaches for leading the way.

On Thursday we held our first Long Course Club Night for the season. It was a hotly contested evening with nearly 60 entrants!
To kick things off on a great note we announced Andrew C and Leon as our Swimmers of the Month. We also got the opportunity to present Rosie from Minnows with her trophy for PB Champion. (I forgot to mention from the windup that Olaf & Lochlan were the male PB Champions for Youth Squad but were unavailable for their beauty shots 😁) And Mel was officially presented with her Club Values Award unanimously voted by the people! 👏👏🎉🌟
We had so many little swimmers taking to the water and getting used to the whole process. And we saw some great results too with their application of their skills.
Evie G was a PB standout in both her 50BR & 50 FS dropping 16.31s and 13.62s respectively and Eena also took off 16.57s in her 200IM. And finding themselves in the over 10sec PB Club (just a club I made up 🤣) were Heath, Karina, Daryl & Nate showing great improvements.
Coaches Kareena, Pedro, Sienna & Edie had their hands full with all the excited young swimmers and their million questions, and they led them thru it beautifully.
Finally well done to the Bronze Squad parents who took charge of organising the night and did a great job 👌Til the next one !

Not even the unpredictable October weather could stop us from celebrating our swimmers hard work and achievements across the season at our outdoorsy SC Windup 😃☀️ ☔ 🏖️
We welcomed the new committee, thanked our array of coaches and presented multiple swimmers with medals all with a bit of fun and food thrown in the mix! Thanks to Nina & Lynn for presenting duties 😊
Congratulations to Xavier and Edie taking out the Janet Tindall Achievement Awards for Male & Female Swimmer of the Season. They both had excellent performances across the SC season and are very deserving of this award 👌
Well done to all our other award winners (see pics for details). Your dedication has been rewarded ✨ Big thanks to the one and only Mel for all her hard work not just this season but for many seasons now, she was the very deserving recipient of the Club Values Award ♥️
Massive thanks to our new look committee for organizing it all. Welcome to Allan stepping into the new role of President, and of course we wouldn't be where we are without our amazing coaches. This SC season we thought, why have just 3 coaches when we can have 9 of the best 🤔😆 We are beyond grateful to those who stepped up and stepped in to help when we needed. Stefano, Kareena, Amber, Kevin, Jordan, Carlos, Nori, Sienna & Edie you have all had such a wonderful impact on the kids and we are very grateful and will greatly miss those not returning long term. We may still see you yet 🫣😃 And we extend a warm welcome to Pedro who's joined the crew!! So for those sticking around, on with Long Course we go!!

Jacob was recently presented with an ACC Sport | Western Australia ACC Letters Award at his school assembly. This award recognizes his achievement in being named in the ACC All-Stars Swimming team for 4 years.
This is a huge milestone and is the highest individual sporting honour awarded by the ACC.
To achieve this award in Year 10 is an amazing achievement. Congratulations Jacob 👏👏

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (+ 1 DAY 🤦😆) !!!
It was a birthday double banger on Friday for our beautiful Coach Kareena and Taylah from the Bronzies. There was a birthday sing along, chocolate and of course the torturous but fun birthday butterfly swim off, which may have involved some 'cheating' 😂
Thanks to everyone who contributed and came along to say HBD 🧡🖤

What a weekend of racing it was at the SwimTek WA SC Junior Swimming Championships. Our young swimmers showed us what they could do and they delivered in force. There were plenty of PBs to go around more than once and they even threw in a few medals for good measure 🥇 🥈 🥉
Oscar had a day out taking home 4 bronze and a silver and achieving the highest PB of nearly 18sec in his 200IM. Scarlett was also impressive in her long distance big races and it was great to have two of our swimmers share the podium with Scarlett & Taylah finishing 1st & 3rd in the first event on their program!
Well done to our swimmers whose consistency shone through their races with their clean sweep of improvements 👏👏
Great racing kiddos, keep working hard. And thanks coaches for all your guidance and parents for their ongoing support 👌
And just like short course season has come to an end, so too we have to say goodbye to our much loved Barros family. You have been amazing and will be missed and the door is always open 💛🖤💛🖤
