Awesome weekend at Lismore Kart Club over the weekend and we're not just talking about the Top Gear Cafe, right Mandy & Alan Lippiatt ... big congratulations to both Harrison Lippiatt and Hudson Lippiatt taking 1st and 3rd in 4SS Senior Light and Huddo also taking out the win in TaG Restricted Light... congratulations guys, awesome effort... The highlight of the weekend, from a team management perspective is looking to the future, and these two guys are just next level... So who better to train our next karting star for GoughMotorsport .. yes, its our newest Cadet. Masey Lippiatt. Masey has all the makings we look for... OK, yes he is a Lippiatt, box ticked... and naturally he is well at home in a CRG, but the sheer determination, passion and enthusiasm Masey has to learn everything about the science of driving a Go Kart is impressive at such a young age. Clocking 2 personal Best times during Saturday practice, its no surprise his ability and natural style is being well groomed by his two uncles and poppy Alan Lippiatt. We are very proud of you Masey Lippiatt... keep hunting buddy. With Jenson Lippiatt and Jess Lippiatt keeping a close eye on the developments, it won't be too long before Jenson is gearing up to follow his brothers journey... the future looks very bright for our GoughMotorsport family legacy. Very proud.

Wow, what a weekend for the GoughMotorsport team assault at Warwick Kart Club over the weekend. Where do we start. What a place to race.... fun, family and friends. We absolutely loved it.
Lets get right into the format first... 2 x 10 lap heats and a 20-lap final only counts were always going to be challenging for the drivers. We had our two young guns, Harrison Lippiatt & Hudson Lippiatt both competing in TaG restricted Light, and the team orders were to race hard together and push for podiums, well that they did all day. Super aggressive, faultless drives from both the boys, even trading a few bumps between them made the team boss and family a little anxious. Finishing a respectful 2nd & 3rd with strong heat performances all day and a nail biting final. Huge thanks to Troy Farley Race engines for the Lippiatt's jet X30 engines. Our "fly-in Fly-out driver Stephen Gough debuted his new DD2 weapon competing with his own data sheet all weekend, finding new gains each session and new bruises to take home, I'm sure. In one heat, he literally drove the wheel off. Smooth consistent lap times on old tyres he showed he still has pace.. Congratulations Steve, we can’t wait to see you back in the seat soon. Finally our 2026 Australian Kart masters TaG restricted heavy champion, Brenden Gough took a clean sweep winning both the 10 lap heats and 20 lap final just holding off a fast-charging Craig Simpkin. Fortunately, the CXR Racing Engines X30 had all the power needed to take the win. Thanks Craig Matthews. Again we thank Mandy & Alan Lippiatt, Maria Herrera & Tracy Qu for all your support for the team, we literally cannot find the words to thank you. Without you, it just wouldn’t be GoughMotorsport. Huge shout out to Rhys and Jaquie from the Stockyard Tavern looking after the team on Saturday night. Wow... thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to Just Karts - Photography for the awesome pictures of the team.

Celebration time for our two GoughMotorsport young guns Harrison Lippiatt and Nick Somerville... what a weekend at Warwick Kart Club as the boys enjoyed their first Enduro twin outright win. Huge thanks to Guy Tee for all the trackside support to help the boys bring it home.
Saturday:
Practice p1
Qualifying p2
Heat 1 p1
Heat 2 p1
Heat 3 p1
Final p1
Sunday:
Fastest in practice with Harrison taking the wheel and again with quallifying P1. Then it was strategy time, so the 2.5 hour race was started by Nick at the wheel. Not long into the stint, an unscheduled mechanical issue cost the GoughMotorsport KnK Team Australia 4 laps, which would normally mean the day is done.. With a driver change Harrison jumped in the kart for a long stint and pulled the team back 3 laps. Harrison then jumped out for Nick to jump in and catch up and maintain a great pace for Harrison to finish off the race with another long stint. With 15mins to go, the boys hit the front and pulled a 36 seconds lead from 2nd within 10 minutes to go... Bring it home, they did...
Congratulations guys... this should escalate the team to second in the championship with the pressure on for the next round.. get after it guys.

Here we go again... this time its Enduro time for our GoughMotorsport young guns Nick Somerville and Harrison Lippiatt piloting their KnK Team Australia Twin at Warwick Kart Club this weekend. Harrison will be keen to get in plenty of track time ahead of his return to Warwick the following weekend to compete in TaG restricted light. This Saturday is sprint day with the 2.5hour Enduro on the Sunday. With championship honours on the line, points are tight between 2nd and 4th. Its time to get the strategy sorted guys. Wishing you the best of luck. Get after it.
