🏏 DIGGERS CRICKET CLUB – SEASON RAMP-UP & SATURDAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🏏

The cricket season is fast approaching, and Diggers CC is gearing up for a massive year ahead! To get the ball rolling, we’ve got a huge Saturday packed with opportunities to support the club.

We need all hands on deck this Saturday, 5th September:

Rugby Gate Fundraiser (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM): We need volunteers to help staff the gate for the Rugby Semi-Final. It’s a quick 3-hour stint and a great way to raise crucial funds for our upcoming season.

Raffles & Pub Support (From 6:00 PM): Straight after the gate, head down to support our new sponsor, The Plantation Hotel! We’re calling on all players, parents, and supporters to come along, lend a hand selling raffles, grab a meal, and raise a glass to kick off our partnership.

Whether you can give an hour or three at the gate or sell a few raffle tickets over a cold drink, your support makes a massive difference to our club.

It’s time to dust off the pads and hit the nets! Diggers Cricket Club is kicking off training for the upcoming season, and we want YOU on the field. Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, all ages and skill levels are welcome—from juniors to seniors!

Join us this this Friday, September 4th from 4:00 PM at Bray Street Oval for a casual session to blow off the cobwebs, meet the coaches, and get back into the groove.

We would like to see how much interest is out there in starting a Female Twilight Cricket Competition within the Association. We are keen to hear from people who would like to help organise the competition, organise a team or just come and play.

NEW U16 REGIONAL QUAD SERIES

A new opportunity has been introduced for Under 16 players across the North Coast, with teams from Mid North Coast, North Coast, Far North Coast and Northern Inland coming together for a competitive regional T20 series.

The series will be played over 26–27 September, with each team playing three T20 matches across the weekend.

For North Coast-based players, the series also provides an opportunity to be identified for the Bradman Cup selection trial following the completion of the round-robin matches on Sunday.

Dates:
Saturday 26 September
Sunday 27 September

Format:
4 regional teams
T20 cricket
3 matches per team
Competitive representative environment

Venue: Kempsey is currently proposed, with final confirmation to come.

The Bradman Cup trial is one component of the overall selection process.

A great opportunity for U16 players to experience higher-level regional cricket, compete against strong opposition and put themselves forward for the next stage of the pathway.

Dear Members & Life Members,
On behalf of the Sixers Cricket League – Coffs Harbour District Cricket Association, you are formally invited to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Meeting details are as follows:
• Date: Monday, 18 May 2026
• Time: 6:00pm
• Venue: CNSW Office – The Hub, Stadium Drive, Coffs Harbour

The AGM will cover the formal business of the Association, including reports from office holders and the election of positions.

A key item of business at this AGM will be the consideration and adoption of a new Constitution. The major proposed change is a move to a Board of Directors governance model, replacing the current committee structure. Under this model, the Association will be led by a Board of seven (7) Directors, and nominations will be sought accordingly. For the purpose of this AGM and if we transition to the new Constitution, nominations for Director positions will be taken from the floor with appropriate voting to follow as required.

The current Constitution and proposed Model Constitution has been emailed to clubs and Life Members, and members are strongly encouraged to read it and attend to participate in this important decision.

Your attendance and participation are strongly encouraged to ensure members have input into the future governance of the Association.
