Orara Valley Hockey Club

The Orara Valley Hockey Club is a member of the Coffs Harbour District Hockey Association and competes at the Coffs Harbour Hockey Complex.

The club provides opportunities for players to participate in Women's, Men's, and Junior competitions. Orara Hockey Club originated in the beautiful Orara Valley over 50 years ago. Training was once on the famous "Axeman's Footy Field" dodging the cow pats and sprig marks. Thankfully these days, all training and games are at the one location at Coffs Harbour Hockey Complex.

Join us for Hockey Coffs Coast Senior Presentation Night — an evening to recognise our players, officials, volunteers and the people who make our hockey community what it is.

🎟️ $65 per person, including a two-course meal

What a weekend for Orara Valley Hockey Club.

Our Under 12s and Under 14s have both powered their way into the Grand Finals. They’ve played amazing hockey all year, with great spirit, teamwork and determination, they absolutely deserve their spot.

📅 Junior Grand Finals – Saturday 12th September
🕤 Under 12s Orara/Urunga Kookaburras – 9:30am
🕦 Under 14s Orara/Urunga Rosellas – 11:30am

Massive shout‑out to our parents, supporters, coaches Dale Ashworth and Jack Benfield, and Manager Naomi Lakeman for everything you do behind the scenes.

Our Div 3 Women drew their semi‑final which went to extra time and head straight into the Grand Final. Huge effort. Photo to come. Thanks to Dale (super coach) Ashworth and Robyn Abbott (manager).

Unfortunately, our Div 2 Women went down 1 - 0 in a tight semi and bow out of the race. They’ve fought hard and fair all season thank you to every Div 2 player, Mark Perry (coach) and Susan Glyde (manager).
