ARE YOU ABLE TO HELP OUT THIS SATURDAY?

As we are getting close to the opening night of racing on October 17 the CRDA Committee are needing volunteers to help get the venue up and ready before we open up the gates for the first time this year.

With rain expected on Friday, we ask if you are able to, help out around the venue as we gear up to kick things off with the Curley Fishlock Memorial and Club Championship night in just over four weeks time. We would like to get the ball rolling on beautifying the Make Smoking History Collie Speedway.

If you can please spare some time and help assist the club it will make our opening show a complete success.

There is plenty to do with jobs for all skill levels with a list being completed. If you are available to help at any time, can you please contact our page or contact President Greg Avins on 0419 929 674

FINAL COUNTDOWN WITH SOME ADDED PUNCH

The final show of the season at the Make Smoking History Collie Speedway has always been a massive curtain call on our year. But on March 20, 2027 there will be some added extras played in.

Not only will it be the normal final show for Production Sedans with the Bill Sibbald King of the Road and Jack Beard Prince/Princess of the Road and Street Stock 'Gero', but again we are lucky to have Legend Cars W.A host the Living Legend 70, an acknowledgement for Barry Hunter who has been a driving force of the division in Western Australia.

SUCCESSFUL NIGHT FOR COLLIE AGAIN

We might not have taken an award as a venue this year, but once again our Collie Racing Drivers Association members shone brightly at the annual Speedway Sedans Western Australia Hall of Fame and Awards Night.

Committee Member and Current Speedway Sedans WA Technical Director Shaun Fitzgerald was awarded the President's Award for his dedication to his role, with nothing ever being too hard.

Longstanding member of our club, Garry Sutton, was also inducted into the Speedway Sedans WA Hall of Fame for a wonderful career in Production Sedans and for being one of the driving forces of the division in the 1990s.

SSA Street Stock WA Champion Michael Hamon was awarded his WA1 roof number after his win in Collie in March.

Big congratulations go out to all winners, including our South West Sister Club, Tyrepower Manjimup Speedway, for winning both Track of the Year and Event of the Year with the Timber Town Throwdown!

COLLIE SPEEDWAY NEEDS YOUR HELP!

As we are getting close to the opening night of racing on October 17 the CRDA Committee are needing volunteers to help get the venue up and ready before we open up the gates for the first time this year.

With the weather starting to clear up and five weeks to go until we kick things off with the Curley Fishlock Memorial and Club Championship night. We would like to get the ball rolling on beautifying the Make Smoking History Collie Speedway

There is no set day for this work to be done, but we will have people over the next week (September 18-20) at the track to help get this list of work completed before our first show.

If you can please spare some time and help assist the club it will make our opening show a complete success.

SPRINTCARS RETURN FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY

Our year is packed with grass roots racing, but we are exciting to welcome back Limited Sprintcars back to the Make Smoking History Collie Speedway on October 31!

In what will be round three for the Limited Sprintcar Association of WA Season, the Carby Nationals will be an added bonus for a jammed packed season of racing in Collie!

Last season, it was Glenn Dickinson taking the win in Collie over Cody Nash and Joel Ettridge.

Keeping the notion of giving back to the drivers that come week in, week out to the Make Smoking History Collie Speedway Production Sedans will again get a double header weekend!

Introducing the Hillside Hustle, to be held on January 29 and 30.

Keeping in touch with last years Production Sedan Collie Club Championship, 'the Hustle' will pay an impressive $11,000 to the division over the two nights.

With the new season approaching fast, the new club membership forms for the 2026/2027 Make Smoking History Collie Speedway Season are now available!

Drivers who have applied for your new Speedway Australia License, do not forget you need to fill out a membership form for the new season to be approved!

They have also been sent via email to the addresses we have on record from our 2025/2026 members, however if you haven't received one and would like a copy emailed to you, please contact us via [email protected]

PAIR OF PAULS SHINE IN NORTH

Collie Racing Driver Association Members again where in the spot light over the weekend, this time in the Kimberley for Broome Speedway’s Shinju Matsuri Stampede.

In one of the wildest Features seen, Paul Briggs would take the win and fly the flag for the Make Smoking History Collie Speedway!

But that wasn’t all, with Paul Joss finishing third in the overall points for the Broth Enterprises Support the North Series that also included last weekends event at Derby and Nickol Bays Brett Johnson Memorial.

Also a special shout out to club member Nuno Mendes, who took the win in the Production Sedans on the final lap!

COALMINER RETURNS WITH MORE AT STAKE

While Street Stock action has been heating up in the Kimberley, we are gearing up to welcome them back in a big way to the Make Smoking History on November 20 and 21 for the CollieRidge Resort Street Stock Coalminer.

Last years event, won by Hayden Norman paid out a massive $16,000 and with the Collie Racing Drivers Association never settling for normality, this years prize pool will be upped to $17,000!

HEALTHWAY EXTENDS PARTNERSHIP

The Collie Racing Drivers Association is proud to announce the continue partnership with Healthway for the next two seasons.

The Collie Speedway has carried the Make Smoking History and Quit name for many years, and we are all excited to continue or partnership through to the 2027/2028 Season.

Over the recent seasons, we have continue to push not only the Smokefree message, but now into our healthy options in the canteen, with thanks to Fuel to Go and Play who have been fantastic in helping us level up our choices of food for everyone.

We look forward to another amazing season in Collie as we kick off on October 17 with the Curley Fishlock Memorial and Collie Club Championships featuring Junior Sedans, Street Stocks, 2026 Production Sedan Four Crowns Series and WA Modified Sedans
