Congratulations to Michael Matthews aka 'Bling' on his excellent result in the Men's Elite World Champs Road Race in Montreal (while most of us slept).

It was an amazing race by all accounts, and Bling's Giant bike carried him across the line to the silver medal.

New Shimano SPD-SLR pedals have landed! 🚴‍♂️

Shimano has unveiled a brand-new road pedal and cleat system – and it’s the biggest change to its road cleat setup in more than 20 years.

The new SPD-SLR system is designed to bring your foot closer to the pedal axle, with a lower stack height, reduced weight and a wider catch zone for easier clip-in.

Shimano has introduced its new SPD-SLR road pedal system, with new pedals across the Dura-Ace and Ultegra ranges.

🔴 Dura-Ace PD-R9300 – Shimano’s top-level road pedal, with a lightweight carbon-composite body and premium construction.

⚫ Ultegra PD-R8200 – bringing much of the same SPD-SLR technology to a more accessible price point.

The new SPD-SLR cleats are available in different float options, so you can choose the setup that suits your riding.

⚠️ One important detail: SPD-SLR cleats are designed for SPD-SLR pedals and are not compatible with existing SPD-SL pedals.
